the History of Rome and History of Byzantium podcasts are fantastic too!

For all you history nerds out there, here's an interesting article that's sure to take you down a ton of rabbit holes: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_slave_ships

Hey Toyota, you think you have enough SUV models yet?

Do any relay frameworks support storage limit functionality, where once that limit is hit, the oldest content is deleted to make room for newer?

To those who are running strfry relays, if you’re using the sync feature, which relays are you syncing with? Would be great to have a list for reference!

Out of curiosity, how did you setup railway to host the proxy? I tried using the environment variables that I’m using to run it locally, but it’s failing deploy. Is there a change in build commands or something else I’m missing?

As more relays pop up that are aggregating/broadcasting to and from other relays, the list of relays that a user is directly connected to in their client will become less and less useful for determining how to get good coverage of that users posts.

The list of relays that my profile shows i’m connected to is only part of the picture, since several of the ones i’m connected to are broadcasting to others.

Instead, the way to determine that will probably be by using “indexer relays” like nostr.band that scour all the relays to find which ones a user’s posts have been seen on.

I’ve been thinking about how it could be interesting if clients added an opt-in “auto broadcaster” mode where the client broadcasts everything in the following feed to the other relays the user is connected to.

Would obviously be designed/recommended only for desktop/web, to prevent heavy data and battery usage on mobile.

I run a forked version of Iris that does this actually!
