Fantastic breakdown of the historical context https://t.co/91JX43qxGf
Yeah dang caps are body shaming my following list size! 😛
. @themariamwahba not sure if you've heard of them, but I came across this super interesting organization called Drop of Milk that focuses on preserving Egypt’s Jewish heritage/history. It's run by Magda Haroun, the head of the Jewish community in Egypt!
Ah that makes sense.

Testing a bluesky to nostr bridge I'm working on (that utilizes rsslay):

i believe amethyst defaults to imgur so it’s probably coming from there
They even rate limited my home IP and my VPN IP and nostr:npub1zuuajd7u3sx8xu92yav9jwxpr839cs0kc3q6t56vd5u9q033xmhsk6c2uc was seeing the same thing
Perhaps they’re using something like CloudFlare and it thinks Snort related domains are trying to DDoS?
Not sure about the first two, but imgur probably doesn’t like image proxies intercepting because it can be used to bypass seeing ads on the image page.
Truly a classic Strawman argument. If your definition of "melanated folk" is "black people" as it seems, then it makes zero sense to put Cleopatra into that category. https://t.co/IqejypPuWN

nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m on Bluesky cracks me up 😂

The Holy Roman Empire was neither Holy nor Roman nor an Empire
When your #transit system is properly designed, you get gems like this, where the transit option takes half the time it would take to drive.

Right now it only mirrors subreddit posts over to Nostr, if you comment on a post that comment is only on Nostr.
The only bridging service that supports what you're describing (so far) is the very awesome mostr.pub mastodon <-> nostr bridge.
This is a user on Mastodon (bridged to nostr thanks to mostr.pub) replying to my post about following Bluesky profiles on Nostr. Truly incredible.

That's actually where I started building on this cross platform concept! For example, if you follow the #baking topic on Agora, you'll see posts from the /r/baking sub-reddit from here: nostr:npub1pfmfh659qjdl44e3ydh8td8pefvccv5kfw4jsxfjpf8p6hcflg2scm0jel
Which works thanks to modifications made to rsslay recently: nostr:note15nzs5p7efynmsjyl596er742yknrna0dvckgs7s8y3kg8c3ugf9sjlkdjv
Would also be interesting to see topics across borders being discussed on your reddit-on-nostr client, https://agorasocial.app/login.

Been tinkering with it since they put it up yesterday! I have a prototype Nostr client in mind that also integrates Bluesky and Mastodon profiles into things like user search and trending users.
It builds off this concept: @note13vuqjhmyxnqc9pmrmd927htywydfe2x2cxd87zn4v6g6hjamv37sww0wkh
