I can’t stop recommending this site, which tracks event kinds being published by clients, which haven’t been documented through a NIP yet
Might grant a new agreed upon event kind in the future (specially if there’s several job board clients), but for now a client can just start publishing a new event (if needed) and we can figure out how to interop later. That’s one of the beautiful things about nostr.
“Luck is the residue of design.”
But it’s not always your design. Best example is the place where you were born. Obviously you didn’t choose that, but a country is better to be born in than another due to good decisions/design from your ancestors.
Some stuff is dictated by nature and there’s nothing you can do about it.
Most stuff is actually your past decisions, conscious or not. Accept them and learn. nostr:note1khwksn045w75epf4kt65j3t6vfu40jp8jgh8d6dw59j077mgf4tqkty0d2
Having news bots here is cool, but just reminded me of why I stopped following corporate media news. Back to chill nostr.
Nostr briefly mentioned in Joe Rogan.
Not to compliment it, but I guess any publicity is good publicity...
nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle are your live streams YouTube only? Would be cool to have them in your podcast feed too :)
For anyone interested, they’re showing up now! 🙌

You can build the tools, but changing a culture is something you can only do one person at a time…
I always supported the EU for what it initially meant: free trade, free movement (including the option to easily “vote with your feet”), cooperation, basically promoting freedom and peace.
It has veered off so much from that path that I became very neutral… and that’s mostly cause I know many national governments would be even worse without EU restrictions, and fear that century old conflicts would resurface without it. nostr:note1hkuhcjjlwuytaasp5xvw5wtwgtq7s9gnfnvxxudvn8crx6lz6mnqk33vs2

I got a decent idea of what they are from this article
Hope so 🤞
So many people lost opportunities cause they put bitcoin in the same bag as all the scams nostr:note1e358tcy42srczwjmjsn9csldtk626egaht2ggzjutlj7vm3ef3ksvke7v8
I think with this post nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx succeeded at bringing more bitcoin development discussion to nostr.
This is awesome, I was less aware of what’s going on than back when I was using Twitter.
These conversations are more important than price talk. nostr:note16h9axg7x728pt7776x4hxq5vh448xz7gszjnjxsjg7rcwue3v4ysevtlgm
There's this proposal to serve a static site from a blossom server: https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/1538
BlueSky getting the devs attention... Hard to avoid when they hired Dan Abramov. Anyway, left my Nostr lure comment there 🤷
Awesome, yeah will have a listen. I know the fountain team are looking at audio books so it will be great to link in with them.
My focus is books reading, tracking, challenges, reviews and maybe pointing folks to where they can find/read books since open library have a lot of books available to borrow. Further out I’d like to do more like allow books markets. If you are interested I have a rough roadmap on my GitHub readme.
What is your client’s focus? A review app? I hear nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a asking after something like that as it has some great benefits with nostr’s social graph for surfacing relevant reviews.
Similar, my initial focus is to be able to stop using Goodreads. Particularly discovering and reviewing books.
Minutes after reading this I heard in a podcast that nostr:npub1unmftuzmkpdjxyj4en8r63cm34uuvjn9hnxqz3nz6fls7l5jzzfqtvd0j2 is building book reviews in fountain too. 💪
100%.
Btw saw your comment about book reviews in the NIPs. I’ve settled on a similar rating structure (should be implemented soon). https://github.com/RydalWater/OpenLibrarian
It will be great to see if we can get them interoperable for both our use cases. Looking forward to seeing your client.
Absolutely! Ping me if you want to discuss anything. I’m focused on getting something I can launch, but will participate more in the NIPs repo after that.
