Oh, https://nostrpass.com/ works
It's just that all the links in that Nostr note are broken
This is a really interesting solution to the Nostr login system from nostr:npub1k7cnst4fh4ajgg8w6ndcmqen4fnyc7ahhm3zpp255vdxqarrtekq5rrg96

The website is a blank white page and all other links are not working (docs, github)?
I like Jumble, but the fact that it downloads every NIP-05 from the source (and thus leaks your IP address) doesn't seem like the best idea to me.
What I don't like about Nostr is that it's full of bad security patterns or "security simplifications". I mean, sure, Bitcoin didn't have BIP-39/mnemonic at the beginning either, but progress here seems veeery slow.
Just note: DeepSeek is open-weighted, not fully open-source - you get the trained model but not the training data/code to recreate it from scratch. More context: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAmQTmooLGQ
LLMs are an amazing invention, but they are a double-edged sword. The coming decades will show whether it will liberate society or rather enslave.
I mean this is already happening in the US and they're exporting this doublethink to the whole western world. Very soon we'll live in a fully post-factual world, where truth means whatever serves power, freedom means approved speech, and safety means ideological conformity.
Worst case is already here. Show people freedom and they'll reject it because they're too institutionalized.
They don't want freedom - they want benevolent control. They'll flee one platform's censorship and immediately demand the next platform replicate the convenience features that enabled it.

nostr:npub12qz56plzehejkyp4waaannmnny4y4c30j8q55a3wlk49haslga2snypdx8 Hi, thank you for what you are doing to connect ecosystems! Do you have any tips for Ethereum-positive people to follow here on Nostr? π
Nostr's success is largely dependent on whether the Bitcoin community can break their approach to diversity.
Diversity is the key.
The real challenge is cultural diversity. Nostr needs more than Bitcoin and freedom tech content. People migrate where their communities are, where they can discuss their hobbies and interests. Right now it feels too monolithic - we need art communities, sports communities, niche interest groups.
So, is Nostr ready to capture people that are fed up with the age-verification locks killing their biz and free sharing of ideas?

I think it is, though I'm disapointed with the current state of Nostr desktop apps. By this time I expected there's going to be a bunch of sleek, super customizable and very powerful apps (nostr browsers).
In any case, go and find the homeless refugees of the centralized platforms and tell them Nostr exists.
I think it's more about if people are ready for Nostr and take responsibility for their own freedom, than if Nostr is ready for them.

I'd rather spend my time with my honest opponents (Bitcoin maxis) who actually believe in something than surround myself with people who turned "decentralization" into empty branding. I hope you will be nice to me :)
I still think AT Protocol can be superior to Nostr in terms of balancing decentralization with practical usability for masses. But NOT with the current population, which hates everything decentralization actually means while claiming to build it.
From now on, I'm building on Nostr.
I don't know what's more telling: I signed up on their "cryptoanarchy.network" PDS and was immediately banned just because I used an avatar with inverted colors.
This is *opposite* of cryptoanarchy. It's ideological control wearing cryptoanarchy's aesthetic. Another cage pretending to be freedom. Another concept that has been stolen and will be used against us.
I'm still processing the experience of standing completely alone against hundreds of people calling me racist and white supremacist for raising concerns about AT Protocol's (Bluesky) decentralization.
It was watching intelligent, technical people get swept into mob dynamics, unable to think independently. The silence from those who privately agreed but wouldn't speak up was perhaps most disturbing.
nice to hear!
I just like unregulated markets, smart-contracts, zero-knowledge proofs, prediction markets and these type of things :)
