Hey! When you set your own username, the data is sent to and saved on the relays you are connected to. Relays are basically just servers with a database that stores all «events» (as it’s called on nostr).
You just need to safely back up your private key. It usually starts with nsec and has a bunch of letters/numbers.
When you set the username and profile picture, that data was sent to the relays you are subscribed to. So if you use the same privkey in a different client or on a new machine, your info will be fetched from these relays.
Our relays would melt if every single user was active on the same set of relays
gm nostr 🤙 Are we still doing the Jack hugging chain or no?🫂
I see you Ian, my relays seem to work just fine
fake news
Seems like a good way to do it
I have no idea tbh. Seems like there’s a study done by IDC that says so but I couldn’t find the actual report ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
lol fr?
We’re rewriting all nostr apps/tools to C++?
Back from a mountain trip. A day IRL is like a year on nostr so what did I miss?
