You must write pv and gm every morning and post hugging emojis to new users. I don't make the rules.

I'm really interested in this.

You can provide PRs on Github as well, https://github.com/scsibug/nostr-rs-relay

Me! Only I’m going in July and not for BTC23😢

Looks awesome, where is this? Don’t need exact location

Yeah, that’s a really good “awesome list”! You could also check out all project with the “nostr” topic: https://github.com/topics/nostr

You mean a self-sovereign way to monetize nostr service providers?

Allow me to shill PoW Pub: https://lab.oak-node.net/powpub

Its a protocol for a "pubkey PoW p2p marketplace". Buyers (clients) can shop for pubkeys with a certain prefix. Sellers (providers) get paid to mine it. Schnorr magic ensures only the client knows the mined private key. Both buyers and sellers need their own LND. Entire trade is coordinated via nostr messages.

I imagine a nostr service provider could offer this (as a mining provider) as an extra source of revenue. Thats especially interesting for relay operators that set a minimum pubkey PoW for their relays, because users who want to sign up will surely ask "how do I get a pubkey with PoW".

Ultra-experimental and have only used it myself as a proof-of-concept. Still looking for the first service provider to offer this :)

With «more self sovereign» I simply mean that you should be able to hook up your own node either by directly talking to your node’s API or through selfhosted BTCPay server for example

Depends. It’s a really easy way of bootstrapping a bitcoin node without having to do anything really. It’s very noob friendly.

I didn’t like that they moved away from focusing on Bitcoin, so it seemed at least. They’re not FOSS, so many people don’t like them for that reason. They also didn’t have any way of choosing which version of Bitcoin Core you wanted to run which is a bad thing IMO.

I haven’t run an Umbrel server in a long time so not sure what’s going on there anymore.

What is Umbrel up to? Selfhosted relays? Selfhosted nostr client? both?

Yeah I’ve been wanting a lightning enabled beer tap for a while but I don’t have the practical skills of setting such a thing up. It would be a banger in my friend group!

Oh, is Nostros on the Google Play Store now?

I think you mean: Lets build #Github on nostr🤙
