Single HTML file, 1,000 lines of code, fully self-custodial, functional Nostr based Bitcoin Webstore. š
Thanks. Grafana has some really nice looking graphs out of the box. Sadly Iām hitting too many limitations and may need to switch - but Iād try keep the theming.
I just searched my largest Nostr project codebase for TODO: and found 265 matches.
š Time is my enemy too.
Ideally I can make this hidden legend view load by default for mobile/smaller screens. Tweaked scrolling for desktop too.
I use Nostore on mobile and itās nice enough. However Apple makes it hard I think to onboard and familiarise new users on how to access it. Itās harder than the Adblock apps to setup/use.
I kind of see Nostr Connect or something similar as being an alternative for mobile.
Itās pretty tough, as Nostr key management is still underdeveloped - and iOS limitations around UI, notifications, app to app comms, is very restrictive still.
What would be cool is an app like Authy that the webpage login calls, and then the Authy app has a notification to approve, or if given access prior, it could perhaps approve in the background.
Yep. Enjoyable author.
Having a requests tab is kind of funny for DMs, because bots get stuck in that tab.. because why would you reply to them.
Examples are wine bot, mutiny wallet, and others.
I likely wouldnāt follow them.. but Iād like to promote them across to the left tab, instead of the requests tab - mostly as I miss stuff.
Iād also like a way to hide/remove DMs. Maybe all and forever, and maybe just hide all before this cursor. Ideally it would work cross app.
At some point enough people will understand that politicians (ignoring the system, their personality, how they got there, parties, etc) are just fund managers. They manage a public pool of money, and sometimes people below them who manage smaller pools.
When they actually turn up, they sometimes vote in laws they never read.
Thatās it.
If they manage money, itās their literal job, why would you trust them with your personal health advice? Then, why would you trust them with any personal advice?
You shouldnāt. They donāt care about you. Not one bit.
420 buy signal folks.
Can you send me a beta invite? Twitter looks like it could be something one day, but I hope doesnāt launch as broken as it is today - no one would stay.
If we hook up chatGPT with editor permissions for your todo lists, does it mean you could be the first human with an AI boss?
Yeah. Nice feature.
Itās interesting, maybe Iām blind to it, however Iāve always wondered how large social profiles handle their notifications and replies/threads.
Iāve never seen solid tools/features in most client apps to help manage 1,000 to 10,000s of notifications a day. Maybe its just hidden somewhere.
Filters notifications by who you follow.
āYou too can boost your sim hack target profile with this off skew dying blue mark!ā
On a more serious note, mobile phone numbers as KYC (due to global SIM laws requiring ID to purchase a SIM, pushed even into developing countries), AND security is a huge problem.
It stems from two key root problems. How do you limit membership or a trials to one (or very few) per person - often a credit card to sign up is an approach used too. And second problem is SIM as KYC - it means they donāt store your photo ID, but thatās already recorded via your SIM (thatās likely paid for your bank card, which had KYC as well).
The layers of tracking and control here is unacceptable for a free societyās people.
Nostr will have a similar challenge to limit things like free trials, signup credits, or memberships - however we can work towards KYC free approaches.
Ultimately decoupling individuals from a mobile phone number is critical for freedom. I proposed earlier that p2p and mesh net can help decentralise mobile data networks in the coming decade.
Worth thinking about today and avoiding these mistakes for Nostr. https://nostr.build/i/nostr.build_790eefd44b7c2d50c03d7b0d326a36b9d3bc311cf34c651c5d68ef736c835f22.webp
Maybe third key problem I didnāt detail well⦠MFA and fallback account access.
Nostr can benefit from better MFA (Nostr Connect, or remote signing, etc) and key management - however the mobile phone account recovery is less of a problem - unless you trust some stupid company to store your private key.
