However, in programming language development, there is at least some expectation of backwards compatibility. So I can respect a slower development pace in the core language / modules.

I respect that. If i had more experience im sure id feel the same. I know few elite devs that use python which could be random or could be indicative that python is a stepping stool.

If you’re not a Python fan, then build these tools and APIs in other languages which are *easy to use*!

My pleb understanding is bitcoin is a crypto-asset whose value comes from capped supply, censorship resistence, and immutable ledger. Many people hold bitcoin to accrue and store wealth, and that means many hold it to get rich. Some people hold it to spend it but most use it as digital gold.

Monero is a crypto-currency whose value comes from its users desire for private spending. Many people use monero to spend it. I have never sensed a get rich vibe from that crew. That its supply is not limited doesnt matter to this crowd. They use it like digial cash.

Try Monerujo, stack wallet, or mysu (previously mynero) if you want to dive into using i2p for it, once installed its simple and works. There's also Anonero but that's kind of a DIY hardware wallet sort of solution and it's designed to use 2 devices, definitely not simple. I usually just go with monerujo personally.
