#[0] Replace the share button with the ellipsis. It just makes sense. Visually and functionally.
True, I might have under appreciated it, it really flows, effortlessly
“Not selling out” became a widely known concept decades ago, yet, it all but disappeared from the public consciousness. Aggressive display of material wealth, regardless of how unattainable for most people, has made any notion of consequent creativity unimaginable.
#[0] Where do I find the Nunchuck iOS version on https://github.com/nunchuk-io ?
Long press menu might conflict with text selection, on second thought.
Perhaps position the ellipsis at the bottom, make it smaller, add it to the existing bottom icon row?
Replace the share icon with the ellipsis?
Does anything speak against leaving the long press menu in too?
Also, the ellipsis looks a bit busy, especially in a series of shorter notes, I think.
What do you think of https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/issues/236?
Maybe it is time for a backwards-compatible general cleanup on the Nostr spec? But it will only work if developers are onboard.
I'm not sure what to think myself.
How much support does NIP-01 have?
Which inputs determine “created_at”?
Does “created_at” get bounced to relays or other users to verify before writing?
Any sensible way to verify “created_at” with the BTC chain?
Do users sign the metadata?
IMO only reliable timestamps would make an unified time based events architecture viable.
Written from a layman perspective, might include misconceptions.
Oddly I see no relays on your profile page at all in Damus. I do see relay counts on other profiles.
Awesome, most exciting new feature recently in my mind
Still more soul than any Mastodon client
My LibreTranslate configuration stopped working too this week, I could resolve it by switching servers.
Perhaps the server list needs occasional revisions, and, if possible, status indicators.
FWIW I accidentally tapped the Shaka here, I lack enough insight to agree or disagree.
I think established social media, their advertising dependency and spam vulnerability, contribute a lot to the issues mentioned in your first post, eg. the arguably artificially grown crypto get rich quick mindset, or the POW lacks efficiency narrative. Those incentivize dishonest behavior in BTC.
