Who currently works on NWS? A DNS alternative sounds like a major feature.

nostr:npub1xdtducdnjerex88gkg2qk2atsdlqsyxqaag4h05jmcpyspqt30wscmntxy NIP-512 looks exciting. Do you have any plans for enabling destructive edits, eg. update or remove a photo from a photography site? Would NIP-09 work for that?

nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s Phoenix Wallet added BOLT12 support today, but the reusable address format comes with a "lightning:ln" prefix. Phoenix Wallet has supposedly been supporting LNURL too for some time though.

Does the LNURL spec require a "lnurl" address prefix as the Damus Zap address field hint text suggests?

Could Damus Zaps technically work with the current Phoenix Wallet for iOS 2.3.0 BOLT12 address format?

RE 7 in HDR mode looks incredible on the OLED iPad display, the way candles and sun rays can shine in an artificially generated environment, cool stuff.

From the website description this looks fantastic. Carl also sounds like a solid guy.

Patti Smith covering Summertime Sadness by Lana Del Rey pleasantly shows how true songwriting and musicianship can just stand on their own like true technical design and engineering.

I think that would feel pleasantly futuristic. That and an icon with backdrop color theming support, I love the new color adaptive icons haha

Neat, nice work!

Does the API allow to capture translation results in the background and present them in line in the app native UI?

I would love to have automatically generated translations directly below posts, with no need for a manual step.

An arrow pointing upwards and backwards at an angle, flat or isometric?

nostr:npub1yaul8k059377u9lsu67de7y637w4jtgeuwcmh5n7788l6xnlnrgs3tvjmf Have you seen that Apple added a Translation API?

It already came out with 17.4 according to documentation, but I myself saw no mention of it at the time.

A WWDC24 video discusses it directly now:

Apparently newly published photos of historic Persia

Of more recent ones:

- The Vast of the Night, for style and mood

- Old Henry, for acting and originality

- Meet Cute, for pacing and direction

Except that I need to drive for at least 40 minutes if I want that outside to include bearable noise levels and passable air. Never mind some basic visual appeal.

Laws and culture in my area have turned most open spaces into wasteland.

Does anyone with architectural design or electronic engineering experience want to discuss small footprint building design?

I used no screen protector, I can just say that subjectively the recognition, inertia processing and possibly other parameters outside my technical knowledge made the Pixel 5 touch controls feel distinctly less fluid and fast.

Regarding GOS taking parts out, that mainly referred to everything Play services related, and I found dead ends in the Settings and overall navigation structure because of it. At the time GOS had no option to add back Play services sandboxed, or none that I saw anyway, I think they added that more recently.

I use iPads for very specific productivity apps and tasks, beginning with pen sketching in Freeform and Procreate, to CAD in Shapr3D and recording in GarageBand, Logic Pro after they added that last year. I also enjoy that I can occasionally play some console grade games like RE4 Remake, Alien: Isolation, Death Stranding, since I use no consoles or desktops. I support open source, at least unrestricted software installation in principle, but I know no electronics company that employs that to convincing or subjectively useful results.

Well, in my case Google sells no Pixel hardware in my country. I did make a rather cumbersome import of a Pixel 5 phone to test the GrapheneOS experience, and came away wholly dissatisfied. Touch response felt lacking and the Android UI settings and UI structure hardly made sense to me, particularly with all the parts Graphene takes out.

iPads offer two control schemes that really work for me, touch for browsing, Pencil for sketching, just the touch typing always feels so awkward with the larger form factor. Does newer Android, and GrapheneOS, do anything original to make touch typing on tablets more ergonomic?

Also only iPads can run my current main productivity apps, I have seen no convincing CAD, DAW or drawing apps for Android. Open to suggestions though.
