liberalism thinks we can best figure out the best way to organize society, together. hardcore leftism and "your way" both assume to know the answers, and are fine with limiting the input of others in the conversation. the popularity of both concepts depends on believing one will be part of the "deciders" or your views will be represented either way. it's just as unrealistic as thinking everybody will work hard under true communism or ancapistan won't become Mad Max.

Leftism (unintentionally) aims toward regression to primitive, disorganized conditions.

Also, I do not need to be among the deciders; the order I propose will work better for civilization, and I will inherit those benefits.

This is why the Western system rules the world: it aims toward civilization.

I also distrust mob decision making. Finding the "best way to organize society, together" is inferior to looking at what has worked in history.

Leftism limits the participation of non-Leftists in the conversation.

At this point, that is a consistent historical result.

That's a good point, and a good argument for eugenics.

I am a hippie Spartan, I guess, because I think many of these people are just lost... looking for a purpose.

Some others are probably mute load.

The edited-for-television version of the film omits profanities and other potentially offensive dialog. This includes Laura's racist comment that she is torturing Rochelle because "I don't like Negroids"; omitting this dialog also omits the entire reason why the girls cast a spell on Laura that causes her to become disfigured, a major plot point.

As the 21st century began, human evolution was at a turning point. Natural selection, the process by which the strongest, the smartest, the fastest, reproduced in greater numbers than the rest, a process which had once favored the noblest traits of man, now began to favor different traits. Most science fiction of the day predicted a future that was more civilized and more intelligent. But as time went on, things seemed to be heading in the opposite direction

In my view, any system that is consistent, clear, and rewards functional behavior is the best way for people to live together.

This varies with culture, average IQ, and a few other factors.

What works in NY will not work in TX, Uganda, or Nicaragua.

As you know, my attack on the Left is very simple: their methods do not produce their stated goals.

Leftist societies consume themselves and end up being horrors like the Soviet Union, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, etc.

They mean well but... they have a duty to determine whether their methods achieve their goals.

To me, liberalism is a spirit of accepting others and that there is no one-size-fits-all solution.

Leftism wants a one-size-fits-all solution based on equality, which is a proxy for individualism.

Monarchy takes the opposite view, which is social hierarchy based on opportunity/reward and duty/privileges, not equality/conformity.

If we get rid of "free" healthcare, people are going to stop doing insane elective surgeries just to follow a trend or be important to their friend group for a little while.

In my view, this pattern repeats a great deal.

I am rather fond of the Aztecs because despite being warlike, at some point they decided Central Mexico was their jam and made enough peace with the Maya to keep the region stable.

I use the Platonic definition: the best people by character balanced with intelligence.

This makes sense to me.

What you are thinking of (IMHO) is the Inner Party made in our society by achievement in memorization err I mean education:
