Ditto. It’s not vs. realism, it IS realism. Rational. My favorite video essay on the matter — https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0GnBGI8v3iU https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0GnBGI8v3iU
True — altho keep in mind even reputation of money hold subject priority in people’s lives, i.e. subject value
ah, you mean like the issue of remnant sats left in a retired wallet due to min transaction fees?
— proposed solution being to draw the fee out of the receiving wallet instead?
I concur… 🧐🤔😌😪

I don’t know folks, I just feel like… lets, not be like that….

Another great simple starting point is Matt Kibbe’s manifesto:
“Don’t Hurt People and Don’t Take Their Stuff”
Haven’t read it yet, but I think I’ll like it. 😌😏😂
Also, Free The People (.org) has it posted on some great merch, including Ancap stuff 🤙
Agreed, but counterpoint, local systems could be still be improved and efficiency, efficacy and fairness with voluntary contractual engagement and/or a more free competitive market.
Additionally, albeit inevitably influenced by the looming hand of the federal gov, it was primarily and mostly and local and state governments that imposed some of the worst, most abusive, lockdown policies in 2020. So 🤷♂️ tyranny def can be small and local too, just not as flashy and widely concerned with that way
I’m not sure if I’d put it quite like that😅🤷♂️, but yes your inclination is correct. Silly and shallow pseudo-Keynesian/Marxist economic ideas are superfluous, Austrian economics and classical liberalism, much less anything that came after — market anarchy etc. — very rare. (But maybe increasing?)
😂fair🤷♂️
not everybody gets it

TMIAHM is a fascinating idea to me: previous major changes/innovations in government structure and function have occurred from and within pioneering contexts, makes sense that a moon colony would be the same/next to innovate again
Top two for an interested noob (like me)
1. “Bitbutter” on Youtube — great animated videos explaining basic concepts/arguments (including a great intro series on BTC)
2. Chaos Theory, by Robert Murphy (pretty short essay and great intro to “market anarchy”; free downloads at mises.org)
Further reading I’m aware of:
- the Machinery of Freedom by David Friedman
- Robert Heinlein’s fiction, particularly Friedman’s inspiration — “the Moon is a Harsh Mistress”
Technically that depends on what you mean by immoral…. I might think it’s immoral for you to watch an R rated movie, but still think you have a “right” to do it, i.e. not be willing to respond coercively to a nonviolent issue
Heya. Watcha doin’ over here… 😏🤷♂️
