Squarespace doesn't allow attaching files to the root level.
Not what you wanted to hear

*sigh* I'll open a ticket with them anyway and see if they can find someway to accommodate this request. Thanks for the link.

Does anyone know of a way to do NIP-05 identifier on a domain hosted on a Squarespace website? We don't have ftp access or the ability to create a .well-known folder that I'm aware of. #nip05 #nip-05 #squarespace

ICYMI here's a interesting interview with #[0] that he conducted on Nostr with Politico's #[1]
"Jack also said NOSTR was becoming popular outside the Bitcoiner niche, citing a “Growing artist community” that he said would be drawn in by the tipping function. “That will grow faster with zaps and the fact we finally have global permissionless payments on the internet.”
I received this report from Slack today:
"We will be renewing the slack-edge.com TLS certificate with a new Certificate Authority (CA) from Let's Encrypt.
slack-edge.com is a domain of Slack that primarily hosts needed software resources (html, javascript, etc) that allow Slack clients (desktop, mobile, apps) to work.
It is unlikely action is required on your end. If your devices that access Slack have automatic updates enabled at the operating system level, the relevant certificates should already be installed.
Quick test to see if an updated certificate is needed:
Try accessing https://slack.com/ in your browser. If you are able to do so, then you are good to go! If you encounter issues, we'll connect you with a specialist for additional guidance."
Looks like we can subscribe to maintenance alerts here https://status.gemini.com/
They said it's "scheduled maintenance" but I have zero inbox messages notifying us of this ahead of time.
So we're supposed to install this cert on all client devices? We don't even manage our users phones.
I got the same email from them today. I asked for clarification and they reformatted the email and sent it back to me with no new information. What are we exactly suppose to do here?
That's awesome! There is some great driving up here! We are setup in Hector, NY.
Also, this is how an order book works on crypto exchanges.
"Cryptocurrency exchanges like Coinbase determine the price of assets like Bitcoin by using an order book, which records all the buy and sell orders placed by their users. The price of Bitcoin on an exchange is determined by the trading activity and the order book's depth.
Here's how the process works:
Order book: The order book is a list of all buy and sell orders placed by users on the exchange. Buy orders, also known as bids, represent the maximum price buyers are willing to pay for an asset, while sell orders, or asks, represent the minimum price sellers are willing to accept. Orders are typically organized by price, with the highest bids and the lowest asks at the top of the list.
Matching orders: When a buy order and a sell order have matching prices, a trade occurs, and the agreed-upon price becomes the latest market price for that asset on the exchange. The exchange's matching engine is responsible for finding compatible buy and sell orders and executing the trade.
Price discovery: The exchange continually updates the market price for Bitcoin as new trades occur. The price can change frequently, as it reflects the latest agreed-upon price between a buyer and a seller.
Price fluctuations: The price of Bitcoin on an exchange can fluctuate from minute to minute due to factors like trading volume, liquidity, and market sentiment. High trading activity and liquidity can lead to smaller price fluctuations, while lower activity and liquidity can result in larger price swings.
It's important to note that the price of Bitcoin can vary slightly between different exchanges due to factors like liquidity, trading volume, and the specific user base of each platform. This creates opportunities for arbitrage, where traders can profit from the price differences between exchanges."
This is petty. Why make us junp through hoops with an asinine game? Just unlock it for everyone.
It's going to be a great week! Yesterday I opened up our camper near Seneca Lake in upstate NY for the season.
Feeling blessed that we are able to get high-speed internet out here. I'll be working remotely from here for much of the summer. It was in the 30s overnight last night but was able to stay warm with our propane heat. It's going to be in the 60s and '70s all week!
