Whoop! My new #node is up and running and I have private and secure access to my wallets again!

Fulcrum was up to about 70% indexed before I left home for the fiat mines this morning. If I'm really lucky itl be done this evening at some point and I can build the last few bits of my newest #bitcoin #node running in a #proxmox container.

Now indexing my #node with #fulcrum which is a super fast indexer, my favourite of those I've used so far. Again like with the ibd, the first 35% roared past as the blocks were pretty light back then, but slowed right down now for all the full blocks. Will get slower and slower till it finishes.

Nearly all done though now which is exciting!

Yep, I've set up ronin dojo a couple of time, but the raspi just isn't up to the job anymore, so this time I'm doing it in a container on proxmox on a pc with far more resources, so its going nice and quickly this time. Still have to be patient though!

Biggest challenge for me so far is when the code in the guide chucks errors and I need to research at each point how to get round the issues. Learned alot about working in terminal at least!

Last 2% of my current #IBD left on my #bitcoin #node. Exciting! Time to build the indexer next, going to be using #Fulcrum cos it's fast AF! Then time for more waiting...

#IBD going reaaaaally slow now. Up to about 83% in just over 24 hours, which isn't actually that bad as far as these things go. Been a trip learning to build my own #node from the KYC3 guide. Only ever used prepackaged installers before.

Spun up a new #bitcoin #node, had to nuke the last one. So IBD times again! Got the first 400k blocks (the easy half), thats 12.5% through the blockchain. Got a long way to go!

I don't get people consolidating their utxos, not only do you reduce your privacy, but if you really think bitcoin js going to drastically increase in value, isn't it good to have a few smaller utxos?

Doesn't effect me either way, I whirlpool and use post mix spending tools anyway, so its a non issue for me.

Haha yeah iv spent the last 4 days synching a new node on a proxmox vm, still chugging along. Painful as I know its overwriting a full blockchain already on that drive (well, before I wiped it) trying to work out how to mount a drive to a vm and then salvage block chain off it was just too much for me 😅
