Puff Puff Paint the Origin Story
(To the best of my knowledge)
9 months ago I broke my leg in 4 places and popped my knee out of its socket. For the first couple months I had to rock an external fixation to keep my leg straight. Once the swelling went down it was time for the 2nd surgery where they removed the external fixation and put the hardware inside my leg. The second surgery was so fucking painful, I woke up screaming. They ended up putting me on a dilaudid drip for a day and prescribed me morphine and a whole bunch of other prescription drugs. While I was wasting away in the hospital the second night after that surgery, I joined a Nostr nest. I can’t remember who was all there but nostr:npub1mu9wmykl7qx5llk69axd3rvk0hzhdd25jsqtj2hmnzjpn2sxum6s8jjj0t was there and somehow translated my incoherent mumbles and for the next couple weeks encouraged me to host an art nest. He kept telling me it was my idea which I have no recollection of. Without New 1 there wouldn’t be a puff puff paint. He came up with the name & the first note and DMed it to me for me to post.
