I worked on enterprise fiat accounting software for about a decade and one of the toughest parts is reconciling things like checks that may or may not clear, and data is always delayed and often comes from archaic format text files. Bitcoin and lightning and nostr plus fedi and cashu and all the rest will fix this. Live async comms and instant final settlement means instant reconciliation. Added bonus of much less toxic PII, ie don’t need vendor /customer id or bank info to pay or get payed.

Mutinynet was announced in April.. so why am I only starting to play with this very awesome stuff now?? Sooo much better than struggling with testnet for quick manual testing.

Ya I know it’s a lot of carbs but worth it!

The hardware is only as secure as the software controlling it. What ledger is doing is plain stupid. An interesting counter approach is what Block/Bitkey is doing to never let the key seed leave the hardware and rely on multisig for backup/recovery.

Yesterday I finished reading https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17333324-ancillary-justice I enjoy fiction about space-faring AI and this is an enjoyable one. One of those stories that’s heavy with obscure references that only become clear as you progress through the novel.

Sounds like my cup of tea 🫖 added to list.

Are you sure it’s a GitHub repo and not someone’s gists?

You mean coinstr uses bdk-reserves as a dependency or reimplemented a similar approach? If later is there a way we could factor out the common bits in to a shared project? If not that’s cool too 😎.

Also BRK-A shareholders meeting in Omaha? I’m hoping someone in the Q&A gets Charlie into another bitcoin rant ! 🍿
