Thanks #[1] for helping #[2] up their hot chocolate game!
Nice to see more research being done on how to use low bandwidth mesh networks for bitcoin / LN transactions. (Posted by @@L0laL33tz on twitter)
Not sure if it does multiple pages but I’ve been pretty happy with ascii doc https://asciidoc.org/
👀is that a new widget?? How did you get that info on your Home Screen ?
Wen t-shirts? I need to wear for green peace kids who accost me when I’m walking to get lunch #[3]
That’s awesome, love the new core UI project.
To date, we’ve issued 70+ grants worth $7M+ to 40 grantees and 10 projects across 20+ countries. A dozen now work full-time bitcoin jobs. Rather than fire off statistics, we gave current and former grantees a chance to talk FOSS bitcoin in their own words: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VFWx9mkm8U&t=3s
In case you don’t have 4 minutes (come on, you’re on Twitter), the takeaway is this: Every org that benefits from the work of FOSS devs and designers should be supporting them. This way, devs, and designers get paid to do what they love, bitcoin gets better, and everyone wins.
OKCoin, HRF, OpenSats, Bitfinex, Strike, Coinbase, Kraken, Chaincode Labs, mitDCI, Brink, the btrustteam, and others are with us. Don’t have the resources to run a grant program? Donate to orgs like Brink or let employees take sabbaticals to work on FOSS.
We are always accepting grant applications. If you have an ambitious idea for how to improve bitcoin, email us at grants@spiral.xyz. It worked for this testimonial video’s stars: thunderbiscuit, Daniela Brozzoni, John Cantrell, Justin Moon, Steve Myers, Stephen DeLorme.
Thanks for also being a cheerleader for grantees and their projects! 📣 🙌 https://nostr.build/i/398ba2450a2bb39e48567938ada43320861b8ae7d5c24288000f960a57aa90a5.webp
We have #[2] to thank for this cool app, but I’m sure #[3] could make an awesome version of it for android 🙌
Super Bowl coming to Nashville by ‘27. Mark it on your calendar now. #NFL #nashville https://twitter.com/joepompliano/status/1651203306792923136?s=46&t=x8X6_5dNUPYXhDKCust-bw
This is a rare instance where the LA city gov did anything better than Nashville. No gov should be subsidized private businesses. A good explanation on why this sucks here: https://reason.com/2023/04/26/stadium-subsidy-stupidity-hits-new-record/?utm_medium=email
A timely message from the Grand Archdruid of the Ancient Order of Druids in America (no joke) this guy knows better what’s up than the official pundit class.
… and 3% is still in their BS measure of inflation. My favorite real measurement of inflation is actual money supply growth / dollar debasement, which has and always will be greater than official targets
There is a simple bdk-swift iOS demo from @futurepaul:

But also #[3] and I are going to work with a summer of bitcoin student this summer to build a new and improved demo bdk-swift iOS wallet:

correction: includes changes from yanked version 0.27.2 🙄
📢 BDK release 0.28.0 is published. This is a maintenance release and includes changes from yanked version 0.27.1 including to disable default-features for rust-bitcoin and rust-miniscript dependencies, and for rust-esplora-client optional dependency. New default `std` feature must now be enabled unless building for wasm.
