Change often starts with the smallest of whispers, like minded people bringing it up to a roar. - Klune

“Without radically transforming myself, there can be no transformation of the essential function of society … A system cannot transform man, man always transforms the system.” - Krishnamurti

Beartooth. Their latest album “The Surface” is all about self improvement and learning to love yourself, walking away from toxic lifestyles and doubters in your life, and finding a clear path, clarity and inner peace from within. Definitely a bitcoiners album in disguise:

John Carpenters, “They Live” starring Rowdy Roddy Piper. It could basically be an allegory for becoming a bitcoiner and is so fun and corny. Also contains one of the best sci-fi/action movie one liners of all time.

“Survival is insufficient” - Emily St. John Mandel

The Tetris movie on Apple TV was pretty mindless/entertaining, and a decent story that didn’t take itself too serious with just a slight cheesy vibe, so might be good for those circumstances. But I’m shelling out the 5.99 to rent “Dumb Money” tonight - looks hilarious.

If y’all are excusing yourself from the family dinner table to snag some cheap Tx fees, Nostr won’t judge you 🥹

My beer just zapped me ⚡️🤣

Are you a podcaster or do you transmit podcast content? Canada’s regulators are coming for you, and I quote, “without information about online undertakings that transmit or retransmit podcasts, it would be more difficult for the commission to ensure the objectives of the broadcasting act” … “providing a ‘balance’ of information, enlightenment and entertainment for people of all ages, interests and tastes”.

What the actual FAHK?

In the same Canadian Bitcoiners podcast that nobodycaribou said, “Unnatural footwear is one of the gnarliest fiat scams”, he also suggested [sole freedom](https://solefreedom.ca/) was a good place to buy footwear.

I'm still looking for something that does image galleries as well as https://popular.pics/ does.

https://nostrgram.co is close, but I'd like a view that's way more dense, only showing images in the overview and nothing else. No zaps, likes, comments. Pure consumption & exploration, I don't need to post or react from this view.

Pixelfed is on fediverse, but is quite good for this type of thing.

The problem with keeping money in a bank is that in a blink of a tiger’s eye it will turn on you: what’s yours becomes theirs, what was your sweat and labor and sold off portions of a lifetime becomes strangers … Imagined in terms of the time - time spent earning wages that a bank holds - a bank can own more than half a man … as soon as you place your money in its mouth, it turns out that the tiger has got its teeth locked around your head. - Paolo Bacigalupi
