Small steps
Tedious but important to restore her to her former glory. This is some of the first places that I found holes in the hull.

Never would have thought the straight grinder would be this useful.
Needed to remove the fittings for rigging and barberhaul in preparation for painting underneath the railing.
Can’t think of any way to be more precautions of the hardware when I first decided that the rusted nutts would have to come off destructively.

Sure! It’s a Dutch built 41’ van de Stadt from 67. I have been patching holes in the steel hull by welding. Now work to finish the outside before winter. This winter I will make the boat liveable and install a new engine before sailing next summer
