@ThankGodForBTC For some it is because they think it could be the Mark of the Beast, but I think that on a more fundamental level, their eschatology assumes that history is going in a generally negative direction, so something like Bitcoin must not really be as good as it seems.
@ThankGodForBTC They assume that it will eventually look like evil has won, and therefore something like Bitcoin is doomed to fail somehow, even if we can't see how that could happen from our current perspective. Anything truly good is a non-starter until after the resurrection in their mind.

@BTCGandalf Of all the things I had to wrap my head around to understand Bitcoin enough to have conviction about it as the best money the world has ever seen, understanding the relationship between Bitcoin and Satoshis was a complete non-issue.
@BTCGandalf I understand that unit bias is totally a thing, but it takes all of 2 seconds to understand that if a Bitcoin couldn’t be divided into smaller units, it would be utterly useless as a money. There’s a reason we say people get Bitcoin at the price they deserve.

@relai_app The dollar will no longer be the unit of account long before that ever occurs. My guess is that hyperbitcoinization really gets cooking once #Bitcoin flips gold, which would currently be a sat/$ exchange rate of about 175 sats for $1.

I agree that using hardware made by different companies is more ideal, all else being equal. All else is rarely ever equal though, and @COLDCARDwallet is the best in the business.
