Here is Moβs little nostrich pillow from Bitcoin Design Community. I think they are bringing to BTC Prague.

Yes, these will be on sofas in the design lounge at hackday. We have a total of 10 pillows, each with a different motive. This elegant little Nostrich in a fashion store is also part of the card game we created. I'm happy to share the original graphic if anyone wants it (created via Midjourney).
Some renderings for indian sci-fi bitcoin miners in 2139, for Saving Satoshi. More controlled prompts at the top left, getting more loose and wild further down. Can't use any of those, but exploring the possible range is pretty important and then leads to "the right one".

A very US Dollar centric perspective. The math will not pan out for the rest of the world using other currencies. Even in that model, why should it stabilize exactly at that 1 sat = 1 cent model and not keep tilting further? That model might only work for a short moment in time.
Sorry nostr:npub1kuc70777tsvj67fl75s2dmy376t97hv05xmyuyshzzy6vhj5q5jstv0eyw βΒ I missed this reply until just now!
I'd love to chat more about this. I think you're right that it should be both a single simple app to help guide people through the process AND a set of UI components and patterns that are usable by others in their own apps but help to make the experience consistent. Nosta.me is a great start on the single app version of it βΒ I'd love to help push that forward if it makes sense.
Awesome, that would be great. The Nosta code is already open-source, but I need to spend a bit more time setting it up for open contributions. For this topic of a consistent experience, all we need to do might be to review onboarding for several Nostr apps, identify where we can improve things, and then post issues. Might not even need new code/design to get started.
Thanks!
So, I guess we're going to "adult" conferences for the rest of the year? π
One thing that I didn't actually put into the doc (will fix) was building a standalone onboarding app a bit like nosta.me (maybe we just extend with nostr:npub1kuc70777tsvj67fl75s2dmy376t97hv05xmyuyshzzy6vhj5q5jstv0eyw ?) but go deeper and integrate lists and follower recommendations and make sure that people are getting a wallet set up.
Might be a good place to start?
I'm happy to help. Something worth discussing might be whether the onboarding app should have all these features, or link out to dedicated micro-apps that do those things super well. Putting it all in one might be convenient, while dedicated tools might actually be better at doing each function well and could result in a healthier (less centralized) ecosystem. And there might be a middle ground somewhere. I have it on my list to explore that further, but have some higher priority functional tasks to take care of first.
And one more about accessibility, this time a problem/solution card combo from the Bitcoin Design card game.

I did a quick test for Global Accessibility Awareness Day and found a lot of issues in nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955, even just on the profile screen. It's pretty much all labels, along with some grouping. It might seem like a lot, but this stuff is pretty straightforward to fix.

Attempts at getting Midjourney to render a guy slipping on banana. Funny, but not funny in the way it was intended to be π

I also just created a bitcoin wizard for the Bitcoin Design card game over the weekend. A really fun meme.

Bold move calling the client Luna π.
Accessibility testing is way more convenient than most think. Here's a short video that shows how to do it (Mac & Safari, looking at BTCPay invoice screen) and some common issues.

Same if you want to test on your phone.

Another Twitter-like client or something else? Throwing our design concepts can be super helpful. Even if people are busy now, you are planting seeds that might grow at some point.
Needed some made-up bitcoin company & logos for a design mock-up. AI to the rescue. Here we have The Bitcoin Emporium, Satoshi's Secret Stash, Bit-o-rama, and (my favorite) Blockchain Boogie. AI language is such an interesting phenomenon, but good enough for a quick mock.

I sent out my weekly update, a quick and messy brain dump of some things Iβve worked on this week. Bitcoin Core App, Saving Satoshi, and Wallet Scrutiny mostly. https://gbks.substack.com/p/visually-centered
Nosta is now open-source (posted this yesterday already, but looks like Nostr ate it, so here we go again). https://github.com/gbks/nosta-me
The code is available now. The live site builds directly from it via Netlify. https://github.com/GBKS/nosta-me

My fully validating, pruned node is now synced. Love it. Took 9 days on a 2+ year old Android.
