building https://nostu.be and https://slidestr.net

When w3.do goes down the links will stop working .. BUT since all link data is public in the nostr network any new link service can reuse the same shortlinks.

So you could create w4.do/ and it would work as a replacement.

Clients would need to rewrite links in older posts to the new service.

Yeah, has some rough edges .. especially on mobile. I filter out nsfw with a curated list of npubs and blocked tags. I only put accounts in the npub filter when their posts are not tagged properly or don’t have content warnings.

All input is good … I am thinking of changing the default hashtags to the *str hashtags so you’ll see more nostr native content by default and less from fediverse.

Let me know if it works or what the issue is. I haven't tested it much on mobile yet.

I have only tested with dark mode on. It looks like the colors light mode are messed up. Fill fix it soon.

Thanks for the mention and the zaps nostr:npub1dergggklka99wwrs92yz8wdjs952h2ux2ha2ed598ngwu9w7a6fsh9xzpc - only started the client as a proof of concept, but I think it's worth continue building on it.

You are talking about the detail view on mobile, right?

Only on Desktop with NIP-07 extension. I have tested with Alby only for now. What are you using?

What Device / Browser is this, so I can reproduce it?

Everything is fetched over nostr - slidestr.net is just another nostr client. I extract image/video URLs from the posts.

The Mastodon content ist provided by fediverse bridge-relays like https://mostr.pub/ and is available in other nostr clients as well.

Yes, I know ... mobile is quite buggy. Have to spend some time on that and redesign some css.

slidestr.net has been updated with a first version of

- Login with NIP-07 (e.g. Alby Extension)

- Likes and Zaps in the Detail View

Limitations:

- Previous Zaps from the past are not visible yet

- Only default relays are used (no user relays yet)

- Might still be buggy in some cases.

Feel free to comment with feedback and bug reports.
