It's weird, probably not that weird given we have complicated brains and 'society', how a person can become attached to a TV show. The ability of something to take a mind elsewhere for half an hour or more is something we seek. There are pros and cons to that.)

Framed #594 (I have seen that film. I finished Bodies on Netflix which was very goodโ , although, I suspect, there were a great deal of paradoxes involved. The time travel magic portal has done a great deal of legwork, like the Walter Map story about King Herla* - although similar themes probably go back further and elsewhere. Plus the early 1970s British children's TV show Catweazle, which is popular outside of the UK because it was sold to international broadcasters, and was often repeated.)
* https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herla
โ For example they went to the effort of making old buildings look new, dusted the edge of streets with horse-shit, and other little touches like a basic piano recital prompting flattery. Some ahistorical bits, but the bits that often annoy me they got right.

Storytelling and narrative, which doesn't have to be verbalised, or even particularly musically adept, is what saves music. Everything else is technical.
I hate music. It's the self similarity and genres and the analysis, the tuning, and the golden ratio, concepts, styles, fashions, reactions to fashions, good musicians, bad musicians, and I feel like I don't want something that fits. The problem being that something that doesn't fit often doesn't fit because it's not very good and maybe, some, people listen to it because it doesn't fit. The part of a song where: song length in seconds is multiplied by .618: I think it's why some end up getting into jazz and hard drugs. Or, at the least, tuning down, or up, from 440Hz. Even a reaction is a concept.
I love music, but sometimes it's a hateshag. I'll change my mind by the evening. Chaos theory is by far the best explanation for music in general, but not in the general sense of chaos. And, ultimately, music is *what it means to the listener*, not what it is, which is a whole other level of complexity. Does music exist independently of people?

Framed #592 (nah. I've seen the secondary and tertiary proclucts of it. Like songs from the cartoon. I watched bodies, 2023, on Netflix and it was pretty good. There was some dialogue that could have been omitted like the opening conversation about overtime - I think it would have been obvious by their demeanor they didn't want to be there. "You here too?". And some of the dialogue seemed to be explanatory for an international audience 'the care home system', I'm paraphrasing, where the colloquial would be 'in care'. I think maybe I'm being a little unfair because the programme is aimed at an international and domestic audience. Nothing dire. Anyway, I'm up to episode 3, and at first I thought it was a bigger budget BBC or ITV drama because it had that feel and reminiscent of a good point and click adventure, both compliments. The dystopic future is plausible. I think people often fall into the trap of overplaying depictions of police states and totalitarianism because most people just get on with it and don't stick out.)

Divide any unit of time by your age. That's how long it really is. Weight that unit of time by its importance and even the infinitesimal can be profound. A tiny fraction of my life last night has been inconveniently painful, but meaningless, and I need a infinitesimally quick, but thorough, shower.)

Framed #590 (it's a kids film. There is nothing wrong with watching it and it may be very good. Short of been there when a younger relative or someone who likes it is watching it there is close to zero chance I will ever watch it. Yesterday I kept watch on a vulnerable person with COVID, watched a couple of episodes of that silly - but fun enough - Usher thing on Netflix, and the rugby. England Vs South Africa was a great match but I think a marginal loss and a marginal win because it was so slight in either direction, but both sides played their best game so it was definitely honourable. Hypothetically, is there anyone who wanted to get cancelled not because they want a gig talking about getting cancelled - the cancellation bonus - but because being cancelled is less socially complicated? I suppose we wouldn't know. Maybe it's the Mary Sue, or male equivalent, of cancellations; becoming happily excluded after saying something suitably cancellable to the polloi. Maybe all Lozza Fox really wants is to be ignored, and he's going to flip to extreme left wing tropes to cover the full range, then nonce a duckling.)

Framed #589 (nah. The episode of Gen V was better than the last one. I watched 2 episodes of The Fall of The House of Usher; a combination of TV tropes, a dash of Succession, mixed with an Edgar Allen Poe compendium. All very silly, but because it was consistently very silly I could suspend disbelief. It's 5.30am and my lower back feels like I've been rugby tackled 6/10 painfully, it's not that bad, but it is inconvenient. 50% of people may experience some degree of menstural pain. Someone called some variation of Robert, somewhere in the world, kettle-belled their nuts while exercising. Many things are as bad or far more serious, people are hungry and have legitimate fears. I categorically wouldn't vote for him but I don't particularly dislike him. It's not my election and I think people from other countries moaning about political candidates is mostly just reinforcing sides. People will listen to whoever they like. The people who believe in Armageddon, and would like to precipitate it, because it starts in Israel are, for want of a better phrase, well intentioned but couldn't be more honest about their beliefs and where it all ends. It's not good. I hope, and Trump is currently the favourite to win the election on Betfair, the Armageddonists don't give it a good go next time. It's a good film, I think it is as fair as it can be, and everyone should watch it because we live on the same planet. The theology of it all is fascinating. I think Popper was right that tolerating intolerance, outside of been able to meet it with rational arguments, leads to the intolerant winning.)

I know Morty is not the Morty we know of old but I hope he is more involved because, while the episode had a couple of good gags (including the bit right at the end) it was a bit flat. Rick is, despite his superhuman intelligence, often quite a boring person because he tries very hard not to be a boring person. He's not like the Tom Baker incantation of Dr Who. My favourite Rick and Morty episode of all time is "Rick Potion No. 9" which everyone should watch.
