It definitely opened my eyes. US is the SSSR. Mirror like image. Quality is not available, everything is slow, population health is nonexistent, people are being punished for not repeating along the party slogans while the parroting heads are gaining status and positions just for that...
I got to say I very much doubted the quality of the translations and the feature all the way until I saw it implemented.
The quality and its implication for international conversations is pretty stellar. 👌
Good job showing us!
In general, it's hard to compete with the generalist, or well funded job board marketplaces.
Picking a good niche and trying to get some traction and little circular economy/community going there is the way.
Generalists can't compete with niches. (Which is the whole promise of nostr to me; low costs of rapid experimentation will alwaysbeat the wealthy most).
Little niche job marketplace tailored around remote help on nostr/Bitcoin projects could be a way to start.
1) Job posting fraud isn't as much about quantity (like email spam), but the quality. Idk if some minor sats barrier would prevent it.
Ongoing payment requirements are a good proxy of the job ad still being active, but a weak prevention of scams.
2) the "trust issue" is one of the main problems in the recruiting space. Neither side of the negotiations can count on sincerity of the other side. I think some sats escrow preventing ghosting could be a nice solution. Also, seeing how many other jobs/candidates is the counterparty actively engaging, and of course, reputations.
3) Search relevance would be an issue too, but solvable with a new event kind and client.
4) candidate management would also need to be solved, and automated. Anything with n+ candidates creates significant overhead for the recruiter.
Nice! Yea, I think all these businesses which already already actively encourage cash over cc are very primed.
And it's nice that you can offer contacts of yourselves for any deeper questions, and the experience of a community.
Good luck!

Looks like a great format.

Exploitation.
The worse part to me is when people are working towards and bending their minds backwards to justify it.
Garden BBQ with my fam yesterday.
Everyone old enough to remember communism unisono agreed, across (a)political affiliations that in respect to the media censorship, self-censoring culture in public and the common othering of people for their opinions reminds them of the communist era. Communism 2.0. Just now, coming from the west.
Older generations earned their natural immunity against the communism, and they see it through, and can't get fooled twice.
Opting into Apple's jurisdiction is a risky tradeoff...
Even if they change their minds, it would still be their jurisdiction. The only solution is to opt out. The only threat to them is the opt out.
Twitter is just the start.
