I think the less friction it has the better it will work, so ideally if Bitcoin became widespread and easy and cheap to use maybe we would see tipping work well enough.

Banning was the first level thinking.
Forcing Bytedance to sell (ie confiscating), under a permission renting it to some of their stooges like Mnuchin, meanwhile openly threatening the rest about their destiny if they transgress is the second level.
Win win game for all their friends, lose lose for all their enemies.

Exactly! I was in a total paralysis even for the simplest jobs around the house since everything was just *somewhere* in the hoard of boxes downstairs. Clean and organized space/schedule/codebase makes you so much more productive.
I don't know if you can avoid the algos being black boxes. They are that even for people closely working on developing them.
But you can observe and measure their effects and outcomes, and make it easy for people to switch or curate them.

Explained the nostr:npub18d4r6wanxkyrdfjdrjqzj2ukua5cas669ew2g5w7lf4a8te7awzqey6lt3 on their phones. They loved magic internet money and asked a thousand questions. It was beautiful.
