Not sure I understand the questions—there are 256 bits to the integer, and 256 bits on this key

Depending on the orientation when randomly placed into the key the bit is set as a 1 or a 0

I include a few extra bits in case some get lost under a cushion

Next is to build a signer or address generator to do it automatically ala seedsigner or crux/maix, but in the meantime I made a spreadsheet to help translate the private key into public keys/npub/addresses—you can use any tool to do this and of course #offline is best

Converting 256 bits into digital form is easier than you expect—took about two or three minutes. You quadruple check, to be sure, as you would for anything of value, and of course you have backups

Works fine👍🏻—this #bitcoin key is the 256-bit integer, so no checksum needed

The premise:

Have all voting be publicly confirmed and remain private

* Government keeps a list of eligible ballots and eligible voters’ signatures

* Eligible voters have a private key/public key pair and can cryptographically sign their ballot

* Published election result reports can show every cryptographically signed ballot received, where a) government confirms these are a subset of the pre-election set; b) the signatures came from eligible voters, and; c) voters can privately see for themselves their ballot was received and was included in the count for their chosen candidates

You do realise some states publish lists of names and addresses of who voted—whose business is it to know?

Just because there is a quantity of something does not infer a value—value is derived from what two parties determine it to be, regardless of quantity issued. You don’t exchange EUR for JPY based on your own knowledge of how much of each currency is in circulation. Currencies have relative values between each issuer based on rates, inflation, liquidity, credit, purchasing power, ease of exchange/arbitrage, and most recent traded exchange rates, quantity of the currency issued has impact to all of these and is important

However with #bitcoin we now not only have the ability to measure #fiat money and currencies vs. a limited supply (which reaches back to quantity,) but also as an improved sovereign control of value, uncensorable, anonymity, fungibility, less financial friction and inefficiencies

Yes, many people use quantity as the measure, but reiterating the point it is not the only way as before; #bitcoin ‘s other features have value, too. Over time (years? decades? centuries?) as #bitcoin settles as the standard and #fiat is measure in #bitcoin, then we might have good methods to quantify each contributing aspects’ value
