This weekend I'm cleaning my woodshop for the first time in over 2 years of home rehabbing projects. I just returned from the landfill. I may need to make 2 more runs.
The amount of scrap pine chunks and sticks is impressive.
The amount of unswept sawdust is embarrassing.
"Switching off breaker DL341."
"Nope."

The comms went silent.
"Sandy?" Joyce waited a few seconds watching the station slowly rotate past the broad disc of the Milky Way. "Control?" She re-engaged the breaker. "DL342 on."
There was a crackle of static, then a roar.
"CONTROL WE HAVE FIRE IN THE…" Static again. Joyce felt a jolt through her handhold.
"Control? Sandy?"
A final roar filled her ears then silence. Joyce looked toward the lock and saw venting.
I have a hard time feeling bad for anyone who has their Twitter handle stolen from them.
It's been almost a year. Musk hasn't been quiet about the ways he is a dick.

The experiment was simple enough, despite the 1.23 billion dollar budget and the 80 mile particle accelerator required to pull it off. The goal was to open a window into one of the 7 dimensions curled into a cosmic string—a window smaller than 10 Planck lengths. Nothing could move from our dimension into the one we accessed. Anything would be to big to pass through the window.
But that dimension held tiny gods and we allowed them to escape. Smaller than viruses, they used viruses as hosts.
Gods.

Let's hope that next time that musical anomaly surfaces is as good (IMO) as this one. I've watched the episode 3 times at the moment and I like it more with every re-watch. The galaxy needs more K-Pop… And what a way to end a relationship! >=)
