Very similar to the architecture of modern mobile devices OS's: root OS is immutable, apps are containerized, upgrades are transactional.

- Install other distro apps into containers deeply integrated against the desktop.
Simply put, I can run whatever app I want and the desktop stays working over the course of years without getting bricked no matter how much tinkering I do.
