It's actually kind of shocking how polarized my Twitter/X feed has become.

So many people who were technical developers, capital allocators, thoughtful geopolitical commentators, etc are now just outright tribalists.

-Some of them are direct anti-Palestinian. Not just anti-Hamas, but outright against Muslims existing in Israel.

-Some of them are direct anti-Jew. Not just anti-Zionist in the sense of being critical of the modern state of Israel and its border rights. But instead just like, actually anti-Jew.

I hate to see this. The truth is not necessarily in the middle (ie "moderation" may itself be wrong by assuming the middle is correct), but perhaps more concerningly, many people can't even steelman their opponent's view. In the best of worlds, you should be able to explain the most intelligent version of your opponent's view, and then deconstruct it by explaining how it's wrong.

I see little of that. Hardly anyone can do it. My feed is now mostly like 90 IQ tribalist stuff, even from 120 IQ people. It's sad to see. I rarely see anyone who can steelman the Palestinian case and then explain why Israel is right, or steelman the Israeli case and explain why the Palestinians are right.

I have my own personal views, first and foremost toward the civilian children, and secondarily toward land rights, but perhaps my biggest view thirdly is to criticize the sheer polarization that has occurred. Everyone is sure, but few can particularly explain the dilemma in detail in such way that acknowledges their smartest opponents views and then builds their own case against that. Almost everyone is instead polarized and tribal now.

Military Industrial Complex bad

Even 90IQers can see it

“The State is that organization in society which attempts to maintain a monopoly on the use of force and violence in a given territorial area; in particular, it is the only organization in society that obtains its revenue not by voluntary contribution or payment for services rendered but by coercion”

-Murray Rothbard, Anatomy of the State

To answer your question. The place where there’s not drama is the place where the State is not, I.e. nowhere.

Stack in silence and let the results do the talking. Most people simply aren’t built to compound capital, which is partly why there’s such a large amount of people with no assets, no savings, mountain of debt, etc.

We like to shit on the system for being what it is, but guess what, there’s a lot of people that suck at money too, and the system just turns them from a - to a + on their balance sheet, albeit in an unethical way.

Fiat finance is essentially a game of musical chairs. Yes it can be fun, and yes you can compound capital effectively at times (at least in the US).

The people with their finger on the stereo try to make the rounds last as long as they can, such that you forget why you’re even running around in a circle in the first place.

But let’s be clear. The music eventually stops. Always has, always will.

Things like Gold, Silver, and bitcoin are chairs.

Don’t be without a chair to sit in when the music stops.

There’s no free lunch. If you want to stack sats, over a long enough time horizon, all methods that don’t involve work will prove themselves to be scams/risks/etc.

Provide value and receive value. This is virtuous. All other methods of accrual are fleeting at best.

There Aren’t enough government employees in aggregate let alone IRS employees to show up at everyone’s door 🤷‍♂️

No. They’re starved for talent, mediocre writing, and they do a lot of advertisements disguised as sketches.

Not to mention the propaganda. So much propaganda.

Critical Audit Reveals Troubling Practices at Lebanon's Central Bank 🏦

A recent audit of Lebanon's central bank has shed light on concerning financial practices, including alleged misconduct and the use of "financial engineering" strategies. The audit suggests a lack of transparency and governance, raising important questions about the role of central banks and the need for better financial management.

Key findings from the audit include "illegitimate commissions" of $111 million, disguising losses of $76 billion, and a heavy reliance on borrowing to sustain operations.

This scheme, often compared to a "Ponzi scheme," underscores the dangers of opacity and the potential for unsustainable financial practices.

In a world where central banks play a crucial role in economic stability, this report should urge the need for transparency, accountability, and good governance.

It's a reminder that society should critically evaluate how money is being created, managed and allocated. As we reflect on these findings, let's advocate for greater transparency and explore innovative ways to ensure better oversight of single individuals in centralized institutions with enormous power.

via Reuters:

“The bank's financial engineering siphoned off dollars from local banks at high interest rates from 2015 to help finance the heavily indebted state. The audit said BDL disguised losses equal to $76 billion from the engineering.

Critics described the policy as a "Ponzi scheme" as it depended on fresh borrowing to pay back existing debt.”

Literally every central bank lol. Lebanon is being scapegoated.

You’ll never see a legitimate audit of the Federal Reserve, Bank of Canada, Bank of England, etc for the same reasons. They’re all playing the same games, some just have better economies to hide behind than fucking Lebanon lol.

People that think like this are inherently anti human. Follow the ethics breadcrumb trail for long enough and you come to a realization that the most ethical thing you can do is to stop consuming and choose death.

Imagine getting affinity scammed away from the most scarce asset in human history ☠️
