After researching this, it appears that this tree is an Acacia Dealbata, commonly known as Mimosa. So mimosa's are a type of acacia. It's always good to learn something.

It's a very tasty dish and nettles are loaded with vitamins and minerals and the price is right.
It was my neighbor who shared it with me. He sort of flaked it off, kernel by kernel. Sort of like kernels of corn, but they release easily. The green covering comes away easily also. You don't eat that part.
It was sort of a pineapple/banana/custard apple flavor. Hard to describe.
Liver can be great. A lot of people say they hate liver and I was one of those people. But I ran across a recipe for Julia Child's Chicken Liver Mousse and decided to try it. I was so glad I did. So good. I started to crave it. I think if those of you who don't like liver tried it, there is a good chance you will change your mind about liver. I have made it with chicken and beef liver and it came out great.

I just ate part of a monster. Just kidding. It was part of a monstera deliciosa fruit. The monstera is a very popular house plant but it does grow outdoors in zone 10 where it does not freeze. This fruit came from a monstera near me in the Algarve in Portugal.
It was quite tasty.
