A major Russian ammunition depot was hit and exploded today inside Russia. What’s curious is its location: the city of Kirzhach, northeast of Moscow. For Ukrainian drones to have reached that far, they had to bypass the defenses of the Russian capital.

"Russia wants Ukraine to lift the ban on negotiations with Putin in order to discuss Zelenskyy's proposal to cease strikes on civilian targets." - said Peskov.
Peskov claims that the Russian dictator is, as always, allegedly ready for talks, but everything Russia does is present its own ultimatums and seeks to "negotiate" solely on its own terms.
Since October 4, 2022, by decision of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, any direct negotiations with Putin have been prohibited.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth confirmed for the first time this morning on Fox News that the three senior Pentagon staff members fired last week—Dan Caldwell, Darin Selnick, and Colin Carroll—were dismissed due to accusations of leaking classified information. He explained, “When you dismiss people who you believe are leaking classified information, and the investigation is still ongoing, it will take time. Once the evidence is available, it will be handed over to the DOJ. Why would it surprise anyone, Brian, if the same people continue to leak? Once a leaker, always a leaker, often a leaker.”
Hegseth also acknowledged that the investigation into the leaks has not been concluded, and that some of the individuals involved might be “exonerated” after further inquiry. “If one or two of these individuals are cleared after an investigation, great—that’s the purpose of investigations. But we took it seriously. It led to some unfortunate outcomes, involving people I’ve known for quite some time. However, it’s not my job to protect them. My responsibility is to protect national security and the President of the United States.”

According to some analysts, Putin's plan to "end his invasion of Ukraine" will begin on May 9, the day when the Victory Day parade of WWII will be held in Moscow. According to these sources, Putin will launch a major offensive against the Dnipropetrovsk region, concentrating all his resources there with the aim of capturing the region and "declaring victory." This declaration, in the view of these analysts, would be accepted by Trump, who, together with Putin, would declare the end of the invasion. However, the question remains: will the US recognize the Ukrainian territories currently occupied by Russia as Russian?

For the first time in years, Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated publicly that he is open to direct bilateral negotiations to potentially end the invasion Ukraine, as pressure for both sides to agree to a quick peace deal continues to build from U.S. President Trump and his Administration.
Officials from the United States, Europe, and Ukraine are set to meet later this week in London, where the Trump Administration hopes to receive a response to a document detailing terms and concessions for ceasefire from Kyiv, before eventually presenting the same to Russia.

This past week, the U.S. launched some of the most significant strikes so far of the ongoing military campaign against the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist group in Western Yemen, targeting and completely destroying the Ras Isa Oil Port in the Hodeidah Governorate on April 17, resulting in the death of at least 80; with over 100 additional strikes having been carried out since last Thursday. Strikes in the past 72 hours have targeted command-and-control centers, missile and drone launch sites, underground-munition storage facilities, as well as dozens of other military and infrastructure sites linked to the Houthis. Additionally, strikes are continuing against Houthi bases and defensive positions near the frontlines to the south and east, in preparation for possible future ground operations by partner forces, including the Yemeni Armed Forces.

U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem had her handbag stolen while dining at a Washington restaurant. The bag, lying next to her, contained her driver’s license, medication, house keys, makeup kit, checkbook—and $3,000 in cash.
Let's hope that's all she actually lost. How does the Secretary of Homeland Security not have personal security close enough to stop someone from grabbing her bag off the floor? Absolutely unreal.
