What’s the context, and what are the emergency conditions? This is probably local to one branch, and you guys don’t have the best track record in terms of honesty.

The idea that the US is a “melting pot” is a complete fabrication. US immigration policy was originally designed to preserve a cohesive culture based on ethnic and cultural factors of the existing population.

I don't blame the immigrants at all, I blame our government (who is supposed to serve us) for not protecting us from them. I also believe in ethnic/cultural cohesion, it's ok to migrate, but it usually happens during periods of crisis, not as a positive good.

God made "peoples" (ethnicities), and Israel had divinely inspired borders. At the same time, God was also the one who drove Nebuchadnezzar to conquer the entire known world, dissolving those borders and re-organizing everything. And yet there are still people who trace their lineage to places as specific as Syria and Chaldea.

Isn’t it a bit strange how many countries are being flooded with “refugees” while governments completely look the other way and disregard the law? It’s almost like it’s coordinated… 🤔

If a post doesn't load it's probably because you and the poster don't have a relay in common. That said, threads on nearly all apps need to be improved. Coracle.social is probably the best at handling threads.

I don’t think that’s it, it’ll even be posts from ppl I can already see in the thread. Also I read some relays rebroadcast notes to other relays to avoid the missing content issue.

Not to mention those who hold the most eth, now under pos, get to vote their proposals through.

Threads don’t load properly. Like I’ll tap on a post and see they’re replying to someone but it just doesn’t load. I also don’t like the way threading works in general, it’s very difficult to see a conversation.

I have given my cell phone number out maybe twice this month, both times for work. Between SimpleX, Telegram, ProtonMail, and Nostr, my reasons for doing so have bled away.

You don't have to use Bitcoin if you don't want to. The majority of people on Nostr, at this time, are Bitcoiners, because Bitcoiners built Nostr.

Also FWIW I don't have a crypto wallet of any type & Nostr seems to have evolved to a place where it looks ALMOST necessary.

I have the same complaint, about the crypto obsession here, but really it’s not complicated at all once you start using it. There are a few nostr apps on the App Store tho, just search.

It’s because I question some of the bitcoin dogma, and some of the large follower accounts here have reported me for it (???) so if that happens, you’re basically completely censored on nostr.
