Developer. Building stuff at Coinkite.

Sometimes light, sometimes hard.

Yep! The story around privacy and forward secrecy at the protocol level probably needs to improve a bit, so someone’s key being compromised doesn’t doxx everyone else involved in the same events etc. Other than that, I think Nostr is perfect for something like this.

Yeah, I think once we get some more apps and use cases, this will become easier.

The Twitter-like text messages are cool, but I hardly know anyone IRL who uses Twitter and would appreciate this.

On the other hand, almost everyone in my friend group uses Facebook for scheduling in-person events with friends. Not because they like Facebook per se, but because everyone else is mostly on there, so it’s easy to coordinate.

With Nostr, you just need everyone to have a key pair and they can use whatever UI to do what they need to do without having to set up another account.

Seems so and it’s sad.

But hey, this here is really starting to feel like escape velocity. Let’s keep at it 🤙

I think the first candidates are really a subset of any community that currently uses Twitter. But Nostr could be the base for so much more than a Twitter-like experience.

The domain names alone make it worthwhile to work at Coinkite!

You do on Damus but you’ll need to sort out that CORS header for it to work across the board.

Never mind it literally just started working after I refreshed lol

Is anyone building a calendar sharing or some kind of scheduling tool on Nostr?
