I did not say that. I said bitcoiners right now tend to be Libertarian or right wing. I did not say right wing and libertarian are one in the same.

Currently in politics it's "left wing vs right wing". In my view libertarian's are separate from these two as an apolitical stance, especially since they don't really have any influence in North American politics. I know that sounds a little odd because why would a libertarian get involved but their influence over policy making could bring some much needed perspective over the nonsense that is going on right now.

Bitcoin does not care.

People however use bitcoin and people care. A lot of misinformed progressives think that bitcoin boils oceans and drains swimming pools and they may not listen to a righty telling them otherwise.

Let's give a hypothetical example:

Elizabeth Warren quotes nonsense about bitcoin transactions draining swimming pools, and there is a group of "progressives" that believe this nonsense.

I am not trying to criticize anybody's standpoints or environmental viewpoints here, I'm merely pointing out that if you want more people into bitcoin you need all different types of people involved to help move things forward.

I am pointing out my "political leanings" to help bring progressives on board with bitcoin as many do not because bitcoin has become a partisan issue in North America and I want to end that.

The term "progressive" has been indeed hijacked and the politicians who label themselves as progressive are not aligned with me. I DO believe in social constructs that can help bring up societies most vulnerable and bring more fairness and equality to humanity. If you don't agree that is fine with me and that is fine with bitcoin.
