I pushed on in Tales of Zestiria until this stupid Dragonewt boss and now I'm trapped with no way to grind and the boss is designed to take forever and be about impossible not to lose an ally to during the final phase, 10 minutes after the last save even if you're moving fast. One of my OCD conditions in these games is no party KOs unless absolutely unavoidable so whatever; that's it for me. I made it 4.5 hours of the 11 hours through the main storyline as far as cutscene time goes so I'll wear that with pride and stop wasting my time on this shit.
