I’ve been considering this for nostr threads I am looking to make in the future. I think one long note is not the right answer, it’s just too busy and people might lose interest. I’m going to use replies
Zaps are flying around like absolute wildfire tonight ⚡️⚡️
The energy here tonight is something else, feels we are all apart of something big being built in front of our eyes
Just downloaded the Damus update… here we go people!!

It’s not going to be long before I’m zapping my landlord the monthly rent money
That’s a great book - I would say the internet of money was the first resource that taught me about the inns and outs of bitcoin, and by the end of the book I was sold lol
I have started cutting some of the free relays and replacing them with paid relays…
Slowly but surely the global feed is becoming more useful and less of a constant stream of garbage
No problem - what’s your favourite bitcoin book, I’ll have to check it out as well
I’m a huge audiobook kinda guy, my free time at home gets sucked up by tooooo many distractions
Hey Jason, I am very excited to read your book when it does come out!!
My dad is a self published author, so I can understand first hand the amount of hard work it takes to push the final product out the door even once the text is finished!
Cheers
Aidan
It’s not a Bitcoin book specifically, but have you ever read Sapiens? It does a great job explaining how humans collectively create and believe in myths; which is exactly what money is.
Right now we collectively believe that a piece of paper with a queen’s face on it is Money, but what’s to stop us in the future from believing that a balance on a ledger that is decentralized and hosted on the internet could be money as well?
They are lucky that the general population is too stupid to understand compound growth…
If inflation was 8% one year and 2% the next, that extra 6% difference is just gone, you’re never getting it back.
In order for inflation to be “under control” it would have to be 8% one year and then -8% the next….
Anyone have any thoughts on the Toronto Maple Leafs going all in on the season, trading first round picks for bonafide guys? Jake McCabe and O’Reilly are solid pickups
Agreed! With no algorithms in nostr you have to follow a significant number of people to have an interesting and varied feed.
Also, on the topic of zaps, it seems I zap most of the good conversations I have, yet the balance in my wallet continues to go up. Truly an incredible ecosystem here.
Good stuff man, what are your current interests in terms of budgeting and finance? do you have a table that you curate of your incoming expenses and income, or do you use a software like mint etc...?
Eastern Europe and the near Middle East
Listening to Saifedean describe the USD as a ‘token’ and comparing the modern banking system to the monetary mechanisms of a shitcoin in the FIAT Standard is surprisingly entertaining
Hey similar story here. Started learning on an acoustic guitar about 7 years ago. Realized I love the finger style technique more than strumming. Eventually discovered classical guitar, picked up a nylon string guitar and found a good teacher. I’ve had fun playing a lot of Spanish style or flamenco melody.
Classical guitar techniques are so challenging, definitely gives me something to work at and improve at
that's awesome man, how long have you been playing guitar?
