One of the bothering bugs I've encountered in nostr:nprofile1qyx8wumn8ghj7cnjvghxjmcpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqqgzn9kpsmllqnsf7wh5tz3wgy4cclsftqqplv8tpayrhwgw8llunevgnmdf3 is that the custom zap settings revert back to defaults every once in a while.

I manage two accounts and it happens after switching between accounts. Maybe one-account folks don't experience this bug.

Something funny! I saw a post similar to this, but about coffee. I didn’t stop to think it might be a joke. (We don’t use the Gregorian calendar in Iran, that’s why I didn’t get the joke.)

And as a preparation for this challenge, I thought more seriously about quitting coffee so I’m ready for this challenge.

No here we go. It’s been 7 days with no coffee and I sleep better!

They’ve already done it. But my prediction is that the world would not run out of stupid people. There will come a day that another group of scammers promote their own fork of Bitcoin and face the same fate.

Imagine BlackRock buys off miners.

Imagine they push to change Bitcoin’s 21M cap.

Imagine MicroStrategy goes along—because their coins sit with Coinbase, not in their own hands.

A few plebs like you and me won’t follow their fork.

But remember: Fiat was once an untouchable monolith. Bitcoin was once tiny. And yet, #Bitcoin is eating fiat alive.

The 21M cap is our strength. True Bitcoiners understand this.

Yeah, but the absence of even that one cup makes a huge difference. Some of the changes take some time to appear. For example, last night’s sleep before 10:00 happened first after 5 days.

It’s a long story. In the past, I used to get side effects such as jitteriness and even nightmares in a timespan as short as a week. This time I wanted to do the experiment of seeing how long I can go on without getting the side effects. I could go with 3 cups for almost three months with minimal side effects this time. But mostly, I was on one espresso per day when some side effects started to reappear.

Day 5 Without Coffee

Last night, I went to bed before 10:00 and woke up refreshed before 6:00. (Didn’t wake up early by choice, but by necessity.)

Before this, I’d be completely drained after work. If I didn’t take at least a 30-minute nap, I’d be groggy and disoriented for the rest of the day. It felt terrible.

But now? That doesn’t happen anymore.

I love my days without coffee. Over the years, I’ve realized I enjoy life more without it. I don’t find it hard to avoid drinking it, and I’m mindful of its effects on my body. But sometimes, circumstances force me to rely on it—like early morning shifts or pushing through night shifts.

So far, I’ve handled my early mornings just fine. Now, let’s see if I can make it through the night shifts without it too.

We just had an amazing conversation with nostr:nprofile1qythwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnxd46zuamf0ghxy6t6qy28wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytn00p68ytnyv4mqqgzccaq65ccv9k3454480sws2wqepz73q5z0m5kckslhyhh6d533jc25xncl —covering #Bitcoin, freedom, and yes, #Nostr too! āš”ļøšŸ”„

During the show, we mentioned a video Alex made a while back about Nostr, which I had subtitled into Persian. You can watch it here—feel free to share it with your Persian-speaking friends! šŸŽ„šŸ‘‡

Zap like you’re short #Bitcoin 🄲

I’ve really seen this over and over. We’re sometimes too smart for our own good.
