Big old Jerusalem cricket in my office tonight from the rain.

I'm not sure my wife could describe my job beyond moving back and forth between various ThinkPads and phones and sometimes speaking in utter gibberish with coworkers.
Shout out to everyone else who had a sound card in an ISA slot. Does your back hurt, too?
It's getting harder and harder tu find a non-smart TV. Best Buy had generally been a safe bet with their Insignia line, but there wasn't a single non-smart TV in the store except if you buy a gaming monitor. I happened to have a spare non-smart Insignia I bought a couple of years back and put aftermarket feet on it, which they also did not stock at Best Buy. After four stores, (CostCo, Home Depot) Target had it.
I'm just going to say it - for the average #guitar player, #Epiphone is the new #Gibson. The new Gibson is only for touring professional musicians or lawyers who want to hang something in their office. Meanwhile, #PRS has been heading the opposite direction and have never been more affordable, especially since their SE line is so over the top excellent right now.
I am a fan of #golang. I don't say it enough. My love of #python, #bash, and #BASIC, I wear on my sleeve, but among the many other languages I code in, I almost always appreciate an opportunity to use Go. It just clicked for me in a way rust never did.
Back when I coined my IRC nick, I drove a 1978 two tone brown bay window VW Type 2.

#scripting #Linux #Unix
Want to trigger some #bash action once a process is finished? Find the pid of the process with `ps` or `top` (1234 in this example) and then:
while ps 1234 ; do sleep 5 ; done ; git add . && git commit -m 'Updated dependencies.'
The commands after the `done;` will happen once the process finishes. Keep in mind that this will fire regardless of whether it finished successfully, but this is useful for triggering an action on an already long-running process.

This is gonna date me, but how does one do a party line on #Android? What's the modern equivalent to click-dial-click?

You're describing it as an alternative for the old CentOS Linux. AlmaLinux is that as well. AlmaLinux Kitty is more of an alternative to CentOS Stream. I don't believe Rocky has anything similar to that.

I'm intrigued by #AlmaLinux Kitty. The CentOS Stream 8 stuff we had running was migrated to AlmaLinux when CS8 went EOL. AlmaLinux Kitty seems to be the same type of setup but saving that migration step later.
Why, hello there!
