nostr:npub19djal9d9t0zldup256dnakx4kswlat80kvl5d8e5qcdl4t795yesjkn6qc this is so depressing to me. The first time I experienced MECFS was back in 2004, but I did get it into remission for a while. Now itโs been disabling for 11 years so this is me I guess. ๐ข
nostr:npub12nelzy5hsj8wd5wq5vz2cc4m9hv8ar096ru52g4kkdqm30p0dwkq9kxj50 Same. My initial onset was 1990, had ups and downs over the years (but trending downward). I finally got too sick to work in 2000 and had to go on long term disability.

Sometimes I want to find a recent post that I made, but since I boost a lot of things it can be hard to find, have to scroll through a lot of posts.
Any user can opt-in to this tool. Just put a link in your bio (substitute your own user name). I added an option to show public toots only at the end of that URL.
I've attached a screenshot from the about page of justmytoots.com

"NHS told to stop blaming ME patients for being ill and improve care"
"The NHS has been told to stop dismissing and stigmatising patients with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) under a government plan to overhaul care for the debilitating illness.
Doctors and medical students will be offered greater training as part of a national strategy vowing to 'improve attitudes' to ME and 'trust and listen to those with personal experience'. "

Aww! ๐ป Hi, Emmy ๐
Comic from The Nib:
"Welcome to the Disabled Future"

The disabled community overall is much smaller here. Just to name a few I miss seeing posts by Alice Wong, Haben Girma, Rebecca Cokley.
There are fewer ME/CFS researchers and advocacy groups. I'm happy that nostr:npub1pmxc6x4m8cf2gemjktdhu7vmf87kaprlq8t88fm2n25pzyp5sf9qdzexkq and nostr:npub1k2q3ca5zs84jguvceu5ev6erxt5a0gtu4mjhzrgqkjcgxtpqfu6ql8pyq0 are here but I wish there were more.
And I don't think there are any Dysautonomia or POTS groups here.
I used to follow my two senators, congressional representative, governor, etc.
I also miss following my local library.
There are a lot of blind people on here, who use screen reader software to tell them what is on the screen. To help screen reader users, it's a good idea to use emoji rather than old-style smileys.
For example ๐ will be read out loud as "smile" because that's its alt text. However, :D will be read out loud as "colon D".
(Some old-style smileys do work with screen readers, but most don't. Emoji are safer.)
If you're interested in accessibiity, I strongly recommend following nostr:npub17dffhp0xpxw7we4eu9vxpwqwwg5d2dch72emgjuraw2ng43aeqlsk9m5wm
nostr:npub10940z6cfs9wndhte7mkgw7tw79k68pp5z0k84weuph5swvsrn2xqrm2wum nostr:npub17dffhp0xpxw7we4eu9vxpwqwwg5d2dch72emgjuraw2ng43aeqlsk9m5wm I'm happy to use emoji vs. old school ASCII smileys!
But just FYI, my version of VoiceOver reads the emoji in your post as "grinning face with smiling eyes" -- which is it's official name, I think?
There are usually (always?) more than two sides to an issue.
Framing an issue as "it's either X or it's Y!" is generally an oversimplification. I'm surprised by how often folks suggest these false dichotomies.
nostr:npub1d0spkr0ktwcasanl9jmyx8vtm03tugv7a89f2u367k6jeul7pvqspfegda I get the general idea. There were some Republicans who weren't actively trying to do a coup. Many of them resisted following orders from the former prez.
But the headline makes it sound like they were effing heroes.
Idea: User blocking for op-ed authors so you don't even have to read these ridiculous headlines ๐
