I hope it's not 305F in Chicago...
Chicago... is everything OK up there?

The horror a little girl will feel having her first period with no information.
The shame and inferiority little Black children will feel learning a history where their ancestors did nothing but serve until graciously freed by their betters.
The disgust a child will feel when they see themselves as an abomination since in all of nature they have been taught gender is simple and binary.
The alienation to living things that comes from not seeing humans as a part of the tree of life.
The first objection to teaching these things isn't "they are not true" --because they are true. No, the objection to this content is:
- it makes kids feel bad
- it's sexual and grotesque
- it's complex and confusing
- It makes kids hate America
The objections center around fears of the emotional impact of true information.
It ignores the emotional impact of not learning these things.
Don't trouble your pretty little head with that science, that history. I've told you everything you need to know, so don't go looking in dark corners for anything ugly.
Guard your innocence! Your sweet ignorance is a gift. It's so hard to find a girl who hasn't been spoiled. Hard to find good help that hasn't been tainted by ugly truths, and questions that a sweet creature like you has no business worrying about. Temptations of the flesh, temptations of arrogance.
Stay sweet and pliable.
Several schools in Arkansas are defiantly teaching AP African American history. The state has warned them that the students will earn no credits.
Republicans continue to describe Black history as "indoctrination" and "teaching children to hate America" -- showing that they might benefit from the course themselves.
What if we just... accepted that everyone has to live somewhere?
I know this is radical, but, I think it is also painfully obvious.

Pittsburgh is full of empty houses. That's why they cost $23,000 (or less!) -- it would not surprise me if the company was going for the occupied ones in hopes of getting rent. You'd only need like $700 in rent for it to be a good deal.
But this guy never paid rent. His brother let him live there and it sounds like he wasn't in any mental state to do paperwork.
Al Gore:
(speaking very slowly as if talking to calm a heard of raving mad horses*)
"... while I strongly disagree with the court's decision, I accept it." Dec. 13, 2000
The first really big election I voted in! I was devastated at how easily Al Gore gave up. My more moderate/liberal friends are saying "Surely you can see why this was the right thing to do, *now* right?"
uh... not really?
I *want* to! but I don't. Do *you* see this moment in a new light now?
(it's me. I'm the mad horses)

That wouldn't even be the strangest things they tried.
But it would fit the pattern. No one has made any progress on making people more or less gay than they want to be naturally. Seems to be fairly intransigeant.
And begs the question WHY.

In what sense are threats or witness intimidation "facts" that would be suppressed?

Are you impersonating Fani Willis for any particular reason? -- or?
IDK. I don't think anyone on the fedi will be fooled and it's kind of amusing just around here... but screenshots have a way of creeping out all over the internet.
Particularly when it's a person who is *super* famous like a judge who is only now getting national attention.
Judges have a lot of latitude for setting conditions for setting conditions for defendants pre-trial.
Just heard of one really good one:
A judge could require Trump have all social media posts approved by one of his defense attorneys as "not witness intimidation or a threat" before it could be posted.
That way he can still "campaign"
but parental controls are turned on.
Lawyers could be disbarred if they mess it up. Trump jailed if he goes around them.
Done and dusted.

That I don't know, from the reading and videos I've seen I don't think so? But, it's not exactly easy to observe what's happening inside of a driver ant nest... given... how they are.

Oh and there is an exception (always exceptions with ants-- so many species...)
Driver ant queens mate more than once. And this may be because driver ant queens lay more eggs than almost any other kind of ant. The males show up and are escorted in by the workers OR if the workers don't like them they get eaten. No one knows what the base this decision on. But talk about high stakes!
Become a king! Or dinner!
It's up to these spastic bite-y ladies guarding the door.
