It's time for Hungary to adopt #Bitcoin as a national currency!

There will be plenty of people using self custody to hinder Government.

I also believe the ETF will raise awareness of Self Custody. Time will tell, but I have already had conversations with people, "Why would you self custody when you can just buy the ETF?"

That conversation nearly always leads to 'entertaining' self custody.

Self Custody is VERY HARD for the average person to understand. Most see money in a bank as theirs - available anytime. They do NOT even know the US Government confiscated Gold in 1933.

It's a process of education.

Question: Can ANYONE stop you from receiving and/or sending a transaction?

Can you use VPN (which allows you to use ANY app to on-ramp to #Bitcoin)?

If the answers to those questions are; No. Yes. - and they are - then they can continue to fight 'us' or they can join us.

But they can't stop us - it's world wide too. Keep the list going - let them keep trying wasting fiat! It just makes Bitcoin adoption go FASTER!

(I would add, be sure you run a node and have a small miner running sometimes - the miner is not necessary but in order to keep the network secure and diversified we all need to encourage these activities - it's OUR bank)

If someone argues with you that the world is flat - you can tell them it's round but unless they do their OWN homework they won't believe it.

Unless people are willing to read a book on #Bitcoin it's unlikely they will get it. It's too new at this point. If they are in financial industry - they definitely won't get it!

Fire was created 1.5 million years ago. Very few humans, our ancestors embraced the technology.

MOST people were scared of this new technology. They ran or stayed away. They all died.

For most, time will just have to play out.

I can't encourage it more - Atlas Strugged is 1000 pages of extremely deep thought. But they all still talk about it. It was a struggle to get them to read it - very tough. Last couple might have cheated a little but had older siblings that were already setting the stage.

Fiat has distorted everything. Family, healthcare, housing/shelter, all of the third world, and I'm now convinced the last several hundred years of WAR would not have happened without fiat (ALL wars were bankers wars and could not have happened without printed money)!

Imagine where we would have been w/Bitcoin a few hundred years back (the most innovation in human history happened during solid Gold standard times). But gold always fails in the hands of politicians - 100% failure rate.

In order to 'discover' #Bitcoin, you have to learn and read, right?

So does it change us, or do we become educated?

Those that WON'T learn/read (go down the rabbit hole) never see it.

BUT, another thought. Bitcoin is brutally honest. No cheating. After reading, I think over 100 books now, the fiat system builds you to cheat, gamble, and steal. Think about that for a bit.

Not that we naturally want to do these things, we know they are wrong, but think about the times you get a super good deal on something - almost like stealing - and you have that nagging feeling that you are ripping someone off. Or, you win a few bucks in a lottery or at a raffle - it's exciting getting something for nothing but why does it not last?

Bitcoin makes you want to GIVE, not receive. So from that respect maybe it does change your psychology. But the learning process is so important.

Not to drivel on here, but Bitcoin is a new base layer of culture, changing the way we interact. So it's going to make us feel different. I think better. And I'm falling for the "Softwar" narrative more and more (Jason Lowrey's books - Softwar). Human antlers. I think his thesis is correct.

Exactly. This has been my problem with the Climate change movement.

NONE of these 'activist' have a solution. Quit using energy is not the solution. Shutting down efficient plants in the West, and sending the production to China (coal) is also not the solution (however good it makes us all feel!).

Actually cutting energy would INCREASE pollution, not decrease it. The most advanced countries have the LEAST pollution per human. Why? Technology solves problems.

So if you are a climate activist, go to school and get a Chemical Engineering degree. UNDERSTAND the problem, and then work on solutions!

With that said, the more you understand about the climate, and the geology of the earth, you realize there is no crisis that we can exactly identify to fix!

If you put ALL the earths resources in an olympic size swimming pool, ALL of humanity has used the equivalent of 1 cup of water!

Understanding of money in general is breathtaking realization (most never see).

Reading TONS of economics and money books (not just Bitcoin). But the history of money, how the Federal Reserve was formed, who formed it, and why.

I'm 61 and planning for the next 20 years. I retired early - fiat was good for us mostly, but I lost a LOT of money in 2008 and 2020 and realized the system was not as it appeared (started buying Bitcoin in 2016, steady daily in 2017).

VALUE - best of the best. We should all strive to be better, add more, do more for others. Bitcoin makes you think/plan as it gives you faith that your energy is stored until you need it OR it will be passed on to your kids without Charlatan Lawyers scamming the current financial system to their benefit.

With 5 kids, all are whole coiners + and instilling that long term vision in kids is very hard - but ultra rewarding. I had a head start, I required them all to read Atlas Strugged when they were young - so they are all very independent and good thinkers.

Question Everything - maybe the biggest #Bitcoin lesson of all.

Time is your best friend (learning) or your worst enemy (watching TV wasting your life). Once time passes it's gone forever - Bitcoin preserves productive moments - forever. Hope for the future.

Interesting thing is: The Cult is actually modern day life in America (from the US$ to the food we eat (or should not eat!)).

Dan - read the book "Dark Winter" - and dig DEEP into the sources/studies. And look how accurate he was at predicting some of the cold snaps and current weather. Nothing biblical here, but he's been pretty accurate (based on some pretty good research on sun spots).

Also, Judith Curry is with you - there is warming, but Government programs to starve humanity of energy won't fix it BUT WILL make it harder for us to deal with the 100% guarantee climate wiill change. Between the sun and the earths core, there is a LOT of energy we can't control!

The climate crazies blackballed Judith but she has been very, very good with data analysis - and many have joined her. Find fault in her work, it's very hard.

Regardless, Government and 'consensus' never fix anything.

This was the point - But most of the narratives in the article below were created by a central Government consensus - ALWAYS backed by science, never happening. This is likely the ONLY fact and should make most question authority or Governments ability to fix anything (since from a cost/advancement perspective Government has made everything it touches worse)!

Trying to stay on topic - understanding why we get so mislead thinkking central authority expansion will fix things. Wouldn't it be better to start your OWN private non-profit to 'fix' what progressives believe needs to be fixed? If it fails, you know it was the wrong path!?

Dan - what I don't understand is the Government has been working with large corporations for DECADES. The lies and propaganda are incredibly clear.

The biggest in the 70s was food was running out.

Today it's global warming.

But there are 1,000 of smaller 'fibs' that are very easy to see.

Why is a liberal so blind to the idea that organized crime thives in large government programs? Yet decade after decade Government programs are created to 'fix' things - yet they never do.

We have spent $22 trillion to fix Poverty in the USA, yet it's the same (or worse in bigger cities). How can this not be seen?

Also, everything the government touches gets more expensive and has less innovation. "Free" markets ignored, mostly, by Government and you get more for less - proven by history!

It's good to be looking for holes in the #Bitcoin and PoW system. But I don't see it. We are stretching. EVEN if the pools of miners become more concentrated, LONG before their is a problem there will be a LOT of discussion.

The miners have no incentive to corrupt the network. EVEN if miners get to a 51% attack (which we will know long before it happens) there will be 1000 working on fixing the problem due to their OWN interests. Let's not forget the Nodes - which I run, along with at least 20,000 others.

The system will only grow stronger against attacks, as it has done sine the block size wars.
