It’s still hard to comprehend that a nation that talks about spreading democracy stripped Afghans and Iraqis of their property rights by such force.
Discoverability is the issue. It’s extreme hard to find people especially if you’re looking for people that talk about specific issues or matters. I have been on the platform for 18 months and I think I have found 4 goldbugs. And I found every one of them because the reposted each others stuff. Even if I go to someone page and look at the users they are following. I get inconsistent results.
The one thing that I miss most about X is spaces. I felt like every Friday and Saturday night there were several really good spaces that were talking deep and thoughtful subjects and issues.
I think odell has been the only one brave enough to delete his X account. I don’t know why any bitcoiner is on X when they have nostr. I am not even a bitcoiner and this is the only platform I am on. I know of very few people who are sound money and goldbugs on the platform. Fearful the platform is going to die. It doesn’t seem to be getting any adoption outside of bitcoiners. But, like you said even the bitcoiners are starting to fade.
They need to have that influence on X. Pays too many bills.
Watching a movie like Dumb Money makes me wonder why we trust the suits at any level. Why is hard to admit that the suits have the table set in their favor.
