I just see that people don't post on my feed and then go to my follow list find them and see if they have been posting anything and when. But yeah I rarely unfollow

Meh. Lot's of young farmers freak out and get day jobs because they expected the crop they planted yesterday to be ready for harvest the next day.
I'm here for good. Every time I look at what I left to be here it makes me ill. Can't and won't go back.
Every month I purge my list of followers and relays.

I think odell has been the only one brave enough to delete his X account. I don’t know why any bitcoiner is on X when they have nostr. I am not even a bitcoiner and this is the only platform I am on. I know of very few people who are sound money and goldbugs on the platform. Fearful the platform is going to die. It doesn’t seem to be getting any adoption outside of bitcoiners. But, like you said even the bitcoiners are starting to fade.
I also don't understand them! But yeah we gotta do something with people to make them stay on here.
The one thing that I miss most about X is spaces. I felt like every Friday and Saturday night there were several really good spaces that were talking deep and thoughtful subjects and issues.
Adoption will take time.

I’m not on Twitter (X); never have been; came to Nostr because it’s decentralized. Don’t know much about it yet, but like music and art. Have a little gold and silver because I don’t trust the Fed (or any of the rest of that primate subspecies. Have a bit of bitcoin too and won’t vote for Biden or Trump. Otherwise, I don’t fit the Nostr profile - I’m 70 and remember Kent State and 1971.
I abandoned my Twitter account.
Ditched the twitter followers for quality nostr connections!

I don’t understand people who are silent on nostr. It could have made sense to do it on X or other centralized crap to read the news or find more content but not here 🤷♂️
Nostr as social media is mainly without an algo and therefore not able to give that Dopamin shots and ‚engaging-force’ people are used to so much nowadays.
For most it’s just ‚boring’ compared to ticawaXxerbookagramtube.
I've always wanted the online space to feel like I could speak with others, but I think many people who grew up on twatter or tok were "trained" to be passive. Feeling like their opinions didn't matter or their thoughts etc.
But that's the reality, unless you are here to contribute something meaningful (which takes effort!), I think most peoples opinions don't matter, just like I assume most of mine don't.
You cannot have a voice on X as a fresh account. The algos suppress genuine connections.
Try it. The only way to get any kind of engagement is hot takes and shit posting.
(Is it possible, sure, but once you’re past the algo farming shit, it’s still a walled garden. It’s a cyber fiefdom.)

I had ~400 accounts that hadn't posted anything the last 8 months 😅 A whole bunch of them was burned accounts though
