Good morning. Yesterday I got to teach my dad how to self custody his bitcoin and also how to use the lightning network for fast an cheap payments. Was really fun and rewarding.
Been learning alot on how unranked people would have to buy bitcoin. It's alot more complicated then it seems and seen how people started to work around it with vouchers and p2p. So today finally got a more consistent way to get vouchers for my self and its been very eye opening to see the diffrent ways people can get bitcoin.

Early bitcoin confrences he was interviewed at and even forums. He was a bitcoin maxi before everything and can see how he sells most his shit coins he gets donated. I will say he probably does belive in ethereum alot more now but will still say it started from getting value from bitcoin.
Reminder vitalik at an early btc conference admit he was trying to gain more bitcoin using ether and only hoped that 5k eth would be worth one btc. Also said didn't care if it failed since btc is around.

Yes indeed regarding forked clients. It’s very possible that there may be a model where you can just opt in or opt out of various features in the “parent” client. Basically whitelisted version of the client to fit a specific brand or requirements. This has been largely unexplored.
Very interesting. Makes me now think about a network of clients that use only a specific network of relays. This brings up the fact big companies could use nostr with more control, but also still have a thriving uncensored clients and relay pools. thanks for the replies!
Interesting. Also brings up if a client could whitelist relays and people to make private clients. Idk if thats even possible but be interesting to see if thats possible too. Also is there anything that uses sats to auto renew without sending and paying an invoice? That might be something to look into.
What do you think of paid nostr clients? Like if they charge a small fee per year to use? Was just thinking how could start to monetize what people are building client side. Be cool to incentivize clients that you want to see more of or features adopted into others.
