Twitter is already down in Brazil. I’ve never thought in my whole life that a social media like X would be suspended in my country. I don’t think that the government should have a say in communication,journalism or the internet itself. The internet belongs to the people. It shouldn’t be controlled by a centralized entity.

Also, it doesn’t make any sense. After all,prisoners have cellphones and internet inside the jail. From there, they organize crime and fraud. Why not suspend their internet usage? And take away their mobiles?

If Brazilian politicians were really concerned about fighting crime, they could start from controlling criminals that take advantage of having a WiFi connection to commit those crimes.

Everything that is happening in my country is a result of power abuse.

However,it makes me happy that I found Nostr and that I built a community of friends here. I love all of you. 💜😞 You make my life happier even though I’m living in a chaotic situation now.

I regrettably watched the #documentary “Capital in the 21st Century” last night. Almost two hours of a non-stop pitch for wealth distribution, hating rich people (aka capital owners, ooohhh so evil), and a who’s who of fiat academics and economists decrying the need for a new system now that capitalism has failed. Not one mention of money printing, sovereign debt, or the Cantillon Effect. Every single person in the doc completely misunderstands the fundamental issue causing wealth inequality. There was even a suggestion that war isn’t necessarily bad because the old capital holders’ wealth is destroyed, and a new class can supplant the old class. What a disaster. Of course the main guy was French.

That's why they do that, to convince you, as well as this is why Kamala, who is controlled by the same group of people, is doing everything to make Trump win

I think with fair rules, you would still get a Pareto distribution over time, but the “top” would constantly rotate and change. Whereas with crony-capitalism, those on top change the rules so they can stay on top permanently, until the system becomes so unstable that it collapses.

My first attempt at my own grow and my way too curious pup decided to chew her leaves.

But one hell of a learning moment later and I had a pretty great nym to work with, so he was forgiven quickly.

Plus the plant ended up bouncing back for a full harvest 😆

Today was the hardest day of my life. My wife and I said goodbye to our 15 year old #catstr, Jagger.

I held him in my arms until he was gone.

It was almost magical, in a tragic sort of way.

Jagger lived a full and happy life. He travelled around to multiple countries as we moved for work.

He was ever the lap cat. From a solid 22 pounds at his heaviest to just over 8 pounds today.

While his end was expected, it does not make it any less painful.

This is the contract we sign when we let others into our hearts. One day they will leave us. We will not want them to... But they will go.

He is gone now.

I miss him.

Please hold your furry ones close today.

Give them belly rubs and extra treats.

Jagger would approve.
