Hi there mate great to see you on here

yes all of us 🤣 .. i just got myself primal premium

i been trying to reserch alot to get my community a good esy guide to #Nostr

but seems really hard if we want them to host themselves

I really wish there was better guides on Nostr & LN ..

like Nostr itself no problem

but when someone want a DNS username

& DNS LN address

things change fast from simple to more like a nightmare

or am I missing something..

get Nostr private & pub keys

get client example Amethyst

get private noatr relay both on home server & phone itself easy

signed up to alby linked that to nostr danishcrypto@getalby.com works

got a Zeus wallet tried to linked that failed

do I really need my own LN node here ..

other option get @primal

2 mins after get a LN name there works for free there can be used as a Nostrname as well

like Ilove it but hi shouldn't it be easier if I don't want primal ?

its the same on here all depending on how people host there shit ..

but as like here you can change Relays to FLUX nodes or your own if you want and it dont..

but again like with TOR all good will get taken over if we dont care to host it ourself

I'm only there to spread the word at this point Nostr & Hive is the social medias there will win ..

and if we get more amazing projects chains community's on here the faster we get to greatness ..

anyways amazing job mate keep censorship resistance keep fighting

🤔🤔🤔

So if I test it again you be more happy ??

Let me get some SATs in this wallet & see then

There are no "free" messenger in this world. They all need money to run!

Simplex Chat got

370.000 Dollar Venture Capital from Village Global

https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/simplex-chat

https://www.villageglobal.vc

means from: Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates = Big tech is already involved with SimpleX Chat!

And even if you ran your own server they will still route your messages across Big-Tech Clouds and can collect your IPs = metadata!

It don't matter since the code is open source & pretty damn solid both server side & client side

There again is something we need to trust on Threema's side .. You know even nostr:nprofile1qqsgydql3q4ka27d9wnlrmus4tvkrnc8ftc4h8h5fgyln54gl0a7dgspp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhx6mmnw3ezuur4vgkhjsen put a pretty sum to help nostr:nprofile1qqsvnx99ww0sfall7gpv2jtz4ftc9v6wevgdd7g4hh7awkpfvwlezugpz4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezummcw3ezuer9wchsx06t26

Also with the IP tracking pretty hard now they have nostr:nprofile1qqsgmff9zpdwhldyelnne99xafacy7a0xxwgydw7vnmsrmvy8h5257sppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0wxv9gq nodes as well ..

But like with Tor browser or nodes relays if only governments run it they could probably track something so help decentralized the internet 😅

Why not..

everything & everyone belongs on Nostr to make it great

Did you know nostr:nprofile1qqsvnx99ww0sfall7gpv2jtz4ftc9v6wevgdd7g4hh7awkpfvwlezugpzdmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ue0chkv5c now has a blockchain/shitcoin built in (called Flux)?

https://simplex.chat/blog/20241210-simplex-network-v6-2-servers-by-flux-business-chats.html#simplex-chat-and-flux-improve-metadata-privacy-in-simplex-network )

Did you know they've also started doing "content moderation"—blocking users, groups and 3rd party servers?

https://github.com/simplex-chat/simplex-chat/blob/821f034d18930c5c32d1c010a72bff15775b9337/docs%2Frfcs%2F2024-12-30-content-moderation.md

Yeah, so far it's only to stop CSAM distribution but we all know how that's a slippery slope. The good old "Think of the children" tactic. If there's a method to ban, block or censor, it will be used and ABUSED.

SimpleX Chat may have good #privacy but it's not decentralized, neither censorship-resistant. They also seem too concerned with complying with Google/Apple stores—“(...)there are requirements we have to comply with that exist outside of law, e.g. requirements of application stores.”

I also found out they are getting funded by VCS such a Village Global ( https://www.villageglobal.vc/ ), which have backers such as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Anne Wojcicki and others.

https://simplex.chat/blog/20240814-simplex-chat-vision-funding-v6-private-routing-new-user-experience.html#the-past-investment-from-village-global

This is not freedom tech. I'm out. DYOR.

Lol no it don't.. Its a partnership with FLUX (runonflux.io) there is a Decentralized AWS if you will ..

So it can insecure truly decentralized hosting

Making SimpleX censorship resistance decentralized & private communication with it being fully open source ..

Like you know FLUX also hosts Nostr Relays right 😉

We Want Freedom

We Want Decentralization

For sure .. Yo Jack how do you feel about the security & privacy aspects of AI .. And how do you see things working out atm With for example France also now going mayham on encryption law like the UK ..

I feel like we all in big danger

How can we teach people Hardcore internet security & privacy moral's when they can even use basic after 30 years online

Moms's password 123littleSat456 😎

I was on there app back when I was on IOS & not Paying for it again just to see that it's still centralized & based on trust

But it is better then many others like signal or telegram or WhatsApp ..

But not better then SimpleX since I can self host it & trust nobody but myself

Firefox’s ToS Update: Privacy’s Dead—Time to Act

February 27, 2025

Firefox was supposed to be our shield against Big Tech’s data grab. Not anymore. Their new Terms of Service (effective Feb 25, 2025) is a gut punch to privacy—here’s why it’s a problem, and what you can do about it.

The Dirty Details

Vague Data License: Mozilla now claims a “nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license” to use anything you input in Firefox. They say it’s for “navigation”—but that’s so broad it could mean anything. Your searches, your forms, your life—up for grabs?

AI and Ads Creep: Updated Privacy Notice pushes AI chatbots, cloud services, and more ads on your New Tab page. Sounds like Google Chrome with extra steps. Telemetry’s already there; this just piles on.

Trust Shattered: Firefox built its rep as the privacy-first browser. Now it’s cozying up to the same data-hungry playbook as its rivals. If Mozilla can flip like this, who’s next?

This isn’t just a tweak—it’s a betrayal. That vague license could let Mozilla (or partners) exploit your data down the line. AI and ads mean more tracking, more profiling. Privacy’s not a priority here; survival through monetization is.

The Bigger Problem

Big browsers—Firefox, Chrome, Edge—are all sliding into the same trap: trading your data for revenue. Open-source roots don’t mean squat if the incentives shift. We’re at a tipping point where even the “good guys” cave. If we don’t act, the internet becomes a surveillance hellscape by default.

Your Options: Stay Private, Fight Back

Ditch the sinking ships. Here’s where to go:

Firefox Forks—Still Breathing Privacy

LibreWolf: Hardcore privacy out of the box. No telemetry, no DRM, uBlock Origin built-in, deletes history on close. It’s Firefox minus the corporate BS.

Waterfox: Lighter touch—cuts telemetry, keeps legacy extensions, lets you opt out of SafeBrowsing. Less extreme but still solid.

Why Use Them?: They’re built from Firefox’s code but strip out the privacy leaks Mozilla’s adding. Faster updates than a new browser from scratch.

Chrome Forks—Ungoogle Yourself

Ungoogled Chromium: Chrome’s core without Google’s tentacles. No account syncing, no SafeBrowsing phoning home. Lean and mean.

Iridium: Another Chromium spin, focused on killing trackers and Google integrations. Privacy-first, no fluff.

Why Use Them?: Chrome’s engine is everywhere—tons of sites work best with it. These forks keep the compatibility, ditch the spying.

Tor Browser—A Step Further

Built on Firefox, routes you through the Tor network. Total anonymity, not just privacy. Slow as hell for daily use, but unbeatable for hiding.

Build a New Browser?

Forking’s great, but a fresh browser—ground-up, no legacy baggage—could be the dream. Problem? It takes years, millions, and a miracle to match modern web demands. Stick to forks for now—they’re here, they work, they’re battle-tested.

Which Is Better—Firefox or Chrome Forks?

Firefox Forks: Edge if you want a browser that’s already privacy-tuned and less tied to Google’s ecosystem. LibreWolf’s the gold standard.

Chrome Forks: Better if you need Chrome’s speed and site compatibility—Ungoogled Chromium’s your pick. Less ideological baggage than Firefox’s fallout.

Pick Based on You: Hate Google domination? Firefox forks. Need max compatibility? Chrome forks. Either way, you’re dodging Mozilla’s new mess.

Warning: Act Now

Mozilla’s ToS isn’t just a red flag—it’s a siren. If they can flip from privacy champ to data dabbler, no browser’s safe. Stock Firefox is compromised. Chrome’s been a privacy nightmare forever. Don’t wait for the next shoe to drop—your data’s too valuable.

Take Control

Download LibreWolf (librewolf.net) or Ungoogled Chromium (github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium).

Spread the word—forking’s our power. Push devs to keep these alive.

Let’s build a better internet—privacy-first, no compromises.

Firefox is dead as a privacy icon. Fork it, ditch it, fight back. Your move.
