The amount of spam on Twitter is unbelievable. Nostr air is fresh.
I tend to think this is currently more a function of the difference in user numbers than technical differences, but I also think it’ll be a lot easier to address on Nostr when spam does become a problem, because of the open nature and relative lack of perverse profit incentives.

What happened to the Strike-NCR partnership to use Lightning at retailers across the US (and maybe even the globe)? Why is there no news since Jack’s announcement at Bitcoin 2022 last April?

Lately I’ve been realizing just how much of a people-pleaser I am. Some combination of home life and growing up in Japan has made me almost physically unable to confront or disagree.
I’ll imagine myself heroically challenging someone, but when it comes to it I smile and nod and find some tiny aspect of what they said that I can interact with while maintaining harmony.
Honestly it’s great for making friends and putting people at ease. It’s not at all great for standing one’s ground, making one’s case, advocating for oneself, or delivering any other Aaron Sorkin-esque monologue we all fantasize about.
Deep down, I worry that I come off as two-faced; beneath that, I worry that I have no actual views; and beneath all that, I worry that I’m a shitty bitcoiner.
That is horrific, dude, is that what I have to look forward to?
