Thinking about attending the Bitcoin conf at the end of the month. Just a short flight from here.
GM Nostr! I think Iโll stream just a little more gamedev today before getting back to Seer ๐
Amen! ๐

Agree with this for the most part. Thatโs why with Seer (nip29) client Iโm focusing on public chat. Once I get that working well Iโll investigate private chats.
Totally agree!

Thinking about streaming a little game project for fun this morning before I get back to Seer. Anyone interested?

This is fantastic!

Hereโs video of price change animation. Itโs subtle but awesome.
Visual update on my Apple TV Bitcoin price app. Iโll post the repository soon. The best part is how the price animates as it changes in real time. ๐

Took a little detour today. I wanted to play around with SwiftUI's contentTransition effect. This can be used to animated text super easily. Think text rolling in as changes happen.
So, I wrote a quick little Apple TV app which simply gives you the real-time Bitcoin price. It just connects up Bitfinex's public web socket api. I'll probably release it soon just for the heck of it. I will also make it open-source.
Back to Seer. ๐

I tried this recently and while it has promise, the UI is wonky to me. Not bashing on the dev, I just think it needs some UI love.
Interesting! On my backlog it's noted to use NIP-72 for this, but I will look into NIP-29 later on! The idea is to build a same UX like nostr:npub1jfujw6llhq7wuvu5detycdsq5v5yqf56sgrdq8wlgrryx2a2p09svwm0gx with topics where people can comment.
Hmm. Well if youโre just doing forums then maybe nip72 is better in your case.
GM Nostr! ๐
I have many many good memories with forums.
And if Iโm correct I could use these kinds for creating topics on https://ccns.nostrver.se ? ๐๐ง

Right so as I understand it.
You have Group as top level, the kind 11 would be topic root then kind 12 would replies to the topic.
General (group)
- Cool ideas (kind11)
- some reply (kind 12)
- some other reply (kind 12)
Something like that.
Right now working with nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 and his implementation.

Iโm not sure any other relays support it yet.
Yeah Iโll be honest, Iโm only really interested right now in public groups. Thatโs the main focus in the beginning and agree that Nostr is inherently public. The goal really for Seer is to become a really good public group chat. I would absolutely love to see nip29 support in strfry.
I had a revelation yesterday afternoon. I was going back over nip29 and trying to make sense of kind 10,11. They are described as "This is the basic unit of a microblog root text note sent to a group." and threaded version. This confused me, however after speaking with nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 I realized the more accurate meaning which as that kind 10/11 are meant to facilitate what we know as a forum. Wow! This is an amazing discovery to me. Not only does nip29 bring support for simple chat groups, but also groups which have threaded forum posts. I absolutely love this and am more excited about nip29 than ever before!
Today is gonna be an off day for me as I spend time with the family, but when I get back I will be integrating this forum functionality into Seer. Cheers everyone!
Ps. I meant kind 11/12
Happy 4th of July to all United States citizens! Take a break, enjoy this day with your family ๐
