Can’t beat Bitcoin L2
It’s especially annoying when they sell bitcoin merch or something, and then they don’t accept BTC….
Capitalism is a system in which individuals own and control property. Communism is by nature enforced by violence.
This is how I started losing weight back when I was fat. I would listen to a full Joe Rogan episode while walking along the river in the morning. Quick way to go through shoes 🤣
There are studies showing that workers coop are more resilient than hierarchical capitalist business.
" Survival of Worker Cooperatives Compared to Conventional Businesses
Starting any kind of business is risky: less than half of all businesses survive beyond year five. Worker co-ops are not immune from this. However, “[t]here is a growing literature on the survival of [worker cooperatives (WCs)], which indicates that while a significant percentage of them fail—especially during their early years—they do not fail at a rate that exceeds that of [conventionally-owned firms (CFs)]. Instead, once created the expected survival of WCs meets or exceeds that of CFs.”1
Professor Erik Olsen surveyed studies that evaluated hazard functions (the probability of not surviving the midpoint of a 12-month period) of WCs compared to CFs. Because this data is not available for WCs in the United States, the research relied on studies from the UK, Canada, Israel, France, and Uruguay. Olsen found across the studies that:
● WC hazard rates were lower than CF rates in those countries or in the US
● Like CFs, WCs experience an elevated hazard in their early years, but it peaks at year two or three for WCs and year one for CFs
● Early survival and median lifespan of WCs meet or exceed that of CFs
● WCs appear to have comparable long-term survival rates to CFs2
Olsen concluded that existing research does not support the proposition that WCs, once formed, are at a competitive disadvantage to CFs.
European studies echo these results. For example, statistics from France showed a particularly high survival rate of conversions of conventional companies into worker cooperatives: there was a three-year survival rate of 80-90% for these cooperatives, converted from “in crisis” or “sound” enterprises, respectively. Compare this to a 66% three-year survival rate for all French enterprises. Likewise, the five-year survival rate of cooperatives formed from existing businesses was 61-82%; this figure for all French businesses was 50%.3 "

How does a worker co-op decide who to do business with, how to improve production, or how to expand operations? Will there be individuals who focus on executive functions, on managerial functions?
What kind of individual would start a company and then allow other individuals to co-own their company?
This ideal is unrealistic and untenable.
A hierarchical power structure would arrange itself at least to some degree. Otherwise, hierarchical companies would outcompete them.
This does not address the fact that any such organization would still by nature be capitalist. The organization would be accumulating capital goods in order to produce consumer goods. There is also no solution to the fact that this type of organization could not build something like a car factory or a microchip fab.
To be an anti capitalist only means you misunderstand capitalism. If you are accumulating capital, you are a capitalist. There is nothing wrong with capitalism, it is by far the most efficient system at producing consumer goods and maximizing human prosperity.
Oh my god 😭 I would be LIVID 🤣
I literally keep forgetting to drink it. Good thing I put it in an insulated to go cup, otherwise the ice would have melted by now 🤣
Name something better than forgetting you have some cold brew 🫃
Interesting. I disagree. You cannot beat the efficiency of a hierarchical company. I don’t see how a horizontal market exchange could produce anything at scale cheaper than a hierarchical company.
Either way, all that matters is that any relationship with any company is fully voluntary.
Yes, free-market anti-capitalism makes all sense. Useful articles to understand better:

You ancoms have created an imaginary definition of capitalism. You are fighting a straw man.
Capitalism is a system in which individuals own and control property.
Functionally, capitalism is the process of accumulating wealth. Saving your wealth in gold, bitcoin, or property is the essence of capitalism.
If you believe you have a right to hold your Bitcoin and Monero, you are in fact a capitalist. You are accumulating capital to be exchanged for consumer goods.
You are free to create syndicates, but your syndicates will be engaging in capitalism with other capitalists. That is, unless you think you are capable of preventing others from engaging in capitalism, which would make you two things: a tyrant, and dead.
Go ahead and zap me all of your money if you truly think you are not a capitalist. If you are truly an anarchist, you cannot prevent capitalism from arising. Capitalism would easily outcompete this strange, oxymoronic system.
The idea that organized companies would be replaced by disordered associations is foolish. What kind of disordered association of contractors would build assembly lines? How would they organize this? Would every worker be of equal skill, or would a hierarchy of skill arrange itself to closely resemble that of the most efficient and profitable companies? Should an assembly line worker with 3 months of experience have any say in who the association associates with? Or should that decision be left to a council of individuals who are most skilled and knowledgeable?
I think your positions illustrate a gross misunderstanding of what capitalism actually is.
Maybe I’m misunderstanding the website but it is impossible to be an anarchist and anti-capitalist. To think otherwise is to grossly misunderstand capitalism.
Amazing how photogenic this place is. I took these 5 years ago on an iPhone 7

Literally can’t view Instagram, Facebook, or Facebook Marketplace without logging in. You can’t even look at Meta VR stuff without logging in… like I want to look at your product.
Imagine if you were blocked from viewing iPhones on the Apple website if you didn’t log in with an Apple account.
