May I ask how you got started? I want to grow for market too.
This needs to be flown on a banner behind planes flying cross country following the interstate highways, and in every major metropolitan area
Thanks for the zap! I finally got a wallet and connected Nostr to it, so you're the first.
I hope those links are helpful! One of them also talks about how Purslane is edible.
Here's a couple of links I found that talk about look-alikes.
It looks like Common Purslane to me, but that could be wrong.
My primary concern is how much is given in such short order. I also don't like how certain vaccines are pushed despite their 100% not being needed for the baby. An example is I believe it is hepatitis c, a sexually transmitted disease, that if the woman doesn't have it she can't pass it to the baby and the baby won't be sexually active for almost 2 decades. Just like circumcision, I believe many infant vaccines are pushed so hard so the hospital and doctors can get money. I don't have any links currently, but there are groups dedicated to this.
How about BTDT? Meaning Been There Done That. Somewhat like R2-D2 from Star Wars, just no numbers.
I'm not great at naming things either, that's just what randomly came to mind. It's a great looking van! Y'all are going to have some great memories with it!
nostr:npub15879mltlln6k8jy32k6xvagmtqx3zhsndchcey8gjyectwldk88sq5kv0n has been called the pepper whisperer. He has a podcast called The Survival Podcast that you can search for his garden episodes and he gives his whole fertility regimen to make things grow great. It may not be pepper specific, but definitely worth looking into!
We raise meat rabbits too. We haven't ever done the keychain thing though. Is it worth the money? I mean sure the rabbit feet are essentially free, but how much time does it take to do them? Maybe a side hustle idea for my older kids.
My failure was in noticing the marks actually on the photos themselves. I thought it was something in the metadata files that I couldn't figure out how to find so I kinda gave up. I'm super intrigued with what Phil found though, and props to you Phil for figuring it out. I'd be fascinated by seeing another puzzle.
It is a dance. It is a wrestle. It's being the director of a complex play. I love your writing style, in particular your post previous to this one about the moon being your confidant.
May God bless you on your journey of self discovery and discovering who to include in those more precious parts of your story!
This really is how most people lived for most of human history. Insurance today may serve its purpose from time to time in extreme circumstances, but self sufficiency really is the way to go.
I don't have a wallet loaded up and connected yet (next thing to learn). I'm currently in the communist occupied state of California.
Makes sense. Easy mistake, especially if it's a young plant like that.
Thanks for posting. I hadn't heard about this until now.
Welcome to the party! I'm still new too, but the basics are pretty easy to get down.
I've kept a garden many years and I have a house full of houseplants, other than that no formal degree in horticulture or work on a farm. My opinion is that for millennia people didn't need a degree to work with plants, and in our modern era with access to the internet we have the ability to learn pretty much anything we need almost at a moments notice.
Lamb's Ear is a pretty common ornamental that is fairly low to the ground, has less pointy and more droopy leaves, and doesn't grow on tall stalks. It literally looks like lamb's ears. This looks like Mullein, which you can harvest and use for herbal purposes if you're of a mind to.
As we try to disentangle ourselves from the systems put in place by society over the decades, centuries, and millennia, it seems as though there is another hurdle so many of us find it so hard to cross. That is how comfortable we are with ourselves. Our raw, naked selves.
Perhaps behind closed doors you can unwind by stripping down, but how many of our fellow human beings are ashamed, embarrassed, disgusted, or just uncomfortable with the body they're in? Rules are put in place that we cannot show too much skin, lest it suddenly be discovered that everyone has a body just like everyone else. That we really are so much more alike than different.
There is research that has been done by a Dr Keon West showing that nonsexual, communal nudity leads to feelings of self acceptance that can last for months afterwards. And more research is ongoing.
I'm not saying that everyone has to call themselves a nudist or a naturist and get naked with dozens of people, but we should be willing to ask ourselves, deep down, what is it that is stopping us from that level of familiarity with ourselves, our closest associations, or even a stranger on the beach.
